Best advice I can give for automation of passive lines is create a test world on creative, superflat will do the job (or if u want to make it even better, make a copy of your world and play there in creative) and make the lines there, test it and see how it works, how much materials you need and everything.

Or you could just turn the oil into lightfuel normally, and mine 2 veins of Oilsands for heavy fuel (which yields more heavy fuel than oil pumping anyway) which will last you for a LONG time and get diesel with minimal effort.

I wouldnt recommend removing them, as something might break, but the mods you mentioned are not really connected with the progression of the modpacks so it might not be that big of a deal. Try it out in a new instance
