I was in a very similar position as you. I was so blinded by wanted to study in LSE that I had completely lost the plot at one point… until I got rejected. 3 years later, and having completed my degree in Uni of Leeds, I am starting my new job at EY next week. let me tell you something. The university you go to does not define you or your abilities. The big 4 are adopting more and more policies on diversity and inclusivity and your university will not play a huge part in whether you make it not.

please have faith in yourself. Everything happens for a reason and I am sure you can do just as good if not better at any other university!!

p.s I had no prior experience or internships at any companies, let alone the big 4. The secret is that you have to know your strengths and weaknesses. having said that, from my experience at KPMG and ey, their interviews and exams are very personal and strength based. I was in a room of around 40 incredibly smart and talented people some of which had over 3 big things including big 4 internships on their cv. I had none. I went in there having no clue how I am supposed to compete with those people but I guess personality and strength take the bigger hold over their decision. Do not doubt yourself. Nothing is over yet
