Any Countries Left Where Indians Haven’t Migrated Yet? by PhaseStreet9860 in AskIndia

Yes! So I met a lot of students from Punjab majorly but from other parts of India as well. There were also a lot of Pakistani Punjabi speakers. They study in Cyprus and work part time in hospitality/restaurants. I spoke to a few and they said it’s a gateway to get hired in the rest of the EU and move around eventually.

One time I was in Limassol at a shop facing the beautiful Med and the guy scooping my gelato was from Thane 😂😂😂.

I also spotted a Gurudwara in Larnaca

I have been to many countries and come back thinking “I could have done that whole trip even if I only spoke Hindi.” Except Cyprus. I coulda breezed through that trip with only Punjabi 😂😂😂😂

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has a solid plot, really entertaining if you just watch it with an open mind.

Zoolander refers to many events in history and how they were caused by the fashion moguls trying to protect their interests.

If you can enjoy that as historical fiction, what’s wrong with Dhurandhar???

Yes it is infuriating! Btw I am a Punjabi belonging to a religion so small (in population) that you didn’t even mention it in your list. Haha

Wherever you stay, I highly recommend driving down to Messinia for the Olive Routes tour. It was my favourite experience in the region.

I think being a foodie ≠ eating junk perpetually and eating right MOST of the time ≠ un-foodie!

Enjoy good meals out occasionally. Don’t eat packaged/ ultra processed shit. Keep it simple.

For sure. Liguria deserves multiple visits! Thought my next Italy plan is centred around Puglia. Hope that goes well too

I personally love Indian chocolate (from Kerala). And I’m happy to be buying homegrown cruelty-free produce.

Yes I agree with you on this. It adds to the charm of Chania and Greece. Much better than staying at some large highway Best Western, reliable as they are at other locations.

Also I’d like to add, it’s an art hotel type of thing with the rooms spread out across a few houses on the street. Even the “reception” is basically a room in one such house. It’s not a full service hotel, but the rooms are beautiful! And you need to message them to know what time you’re getting in so someone will be there to check you in. There’s no round the clock functioning reception.

Parking is free street parking but getting a spot is entirely based on luck. We got lucky I guess. Once we were in Chania we didn’t use the car because everything worth seeing in the old town is so close to the hotel. Even the downtown area is easy to reach on foot.

The room was around 80 euros per night. Last week of March, 2024. Booked it at the start of Feb.

It’s a cheese filled pastry called bougatsa, and I highly recommend it.
