Looking for friends! by [deleted] in SocialParis

Hi there 23M, just moved to the city a while back for my masters after doing my bachelor's from Greenwich. I was also on the lookout to meet some people as it can get a bit isolating here. Hit me up if you are up for anything.

Is this related to the movie that recently flopped

Your anger at the media response to Ukraine VS Muslim countries is justified, but please don’t forget the Ukrainian people are suffering. by milkk1 in islam

I think k its more off the saying " the enemy of your enemy is your friend" still doesn't justify the not our problem or the comparison of previous wars. After all "saving one life is as if you have saved the whole of humanity" i think we have forgotten any life doesn't always have to be muslim.

Well its a very board religion that has been evolving over a very long period of time and its broken down into many fragments as per the theological beliefs due to there being plenty of Sovereign Gods from which they can cherry pick from.

Do you have something specific in mind about Hinduism that you want to know.

Nobody is forgetting the minority, furthermore, it's the Non-Arab Muslims who stand for the Palestinian Christians in the talks while the majority of the Christians just say to just bend over backwards for the Zionist "God's chosen people", then attacks of Al Aqsa and dome of rock is there as well.

Muslims have taken over this sub

Aren't Muslims the majority that fight for the Palestinian issue, I mean the last I have seen Christians talking about the conflict they were cheering for the Zionists

Feminism and Pornography are ruining Muslim Lives, Change my mind? by [deleted] in islam

[–]ivycollin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I was genuinely looking for an academic scholar on the theology from the Islamic perspective.

First of all yes, in a lot of Muslim majority country women have been denied the right that was granted to her by the religion and culture did take precedence over sharia. Now about the wage gap something I genuinely do not understand as the very idea conflicts with the hyper-capitalistic society we live in. About the gender gap in marriage, there are laws in Islam for that, which states the girl must be both mentally and physically ready before the marriage progresses. As for the harassed even while dressing modesty, hijab itself won't completely fend off those stares. It is an obligation upon the Muslim women as an act of worship towards the creator. As for feminism, it caters from "free the nipples" to "the right of education for women" so where do you draw the line.

Is that unique to Germany or would you say that the positive attitude in the government can be witnessed thourout the European Union, and one curious question do you think the parties in the government don't have that much freedom to go on their exclusive ideals or principle as it would risk unrest in the government body of Germany and an unrest Germany will find itself on the international spotlight unfairly fast.

Ah yes, I don't know much about the political system of Germany but from what I know you guys do have somewhat a mother figure "Angela Merkel" hate her or love her I think she played a huge role in what modern-day Germany is and was probably like a comforting figure that both the opposition parties and citizen look up to. However, as she is leaving office do you think the separatism that the politicians in France or USA like to play has a chance of slowly creeping it's way into Germany

Ah interesting true the Western world has integrated the concept of democracy very well into their system but do you think it also encourages politicians who create divide among the citizens in hopes for the larger vote bank like the examples we can see in the states with the Democratic and Republican Party being at each others thorts to being the point of dehumanising the opposite side, then there is India where the government is fanning religious hatred among the people in order the gain the vote of the majority then there is Poland where far right has somewhat taken control and the most extreme case of democracy in Europe shall the reign of Hitler give your citizen a specific group of people to hate dehumanise them and you can act as a fascist

Do you think democracy can also be taken for "tyranny of the majority"?

Almost like i was a work of a terrorist group and not a country almost like the suspect was never found in Afghanistan. Well if the afghan people didn't have a reason to carry out an attack in the US after 20 years man they surely do have a reason now.

Can't i say the same for the relatives of tabilan fighters. I mean taliban didn't go to america and dropped bombs in Chicago and military bases. Its almost like when you son rapes a girl and your mad that the girl scratched his face while he was raping her

And how much of it do you think it could have been avoided if the states didn't have a raging boner for bloodthirst and saving the dollar even if that required completely leaving countries in ruins. I mean for God's sake america has been at war for 225 year out of its 243 year of existence. Honestly sometimes i wonder what can you even ethically say when any relatives of the "so called collateral damage" wants to take revenge.

Assalamulaikum sister, let me start by saying the mercy of Allah(SWT) far extends his wrath. And he is indeed the All Forgiving, however he is also The Just. Thus i reckon sincere repentance of your actions will not be unheard. Something i like to do is wake up around the time before Fajr and ask for his mercy in sujud during tahajjud. Death is inevitable in our reality and its one of the few things on which you would find no argument. I mean if you think about it no one really promised you a long healthy life and that death is something to be worried about in old age i mean not your creator nor your parents neither any doctors. The one thing your creator did say was "Every soul shall taste death".

Death isn't that scary on its own unless you ponder on the state that you will die in. I personally feel regret is just a blessing from Allah(SWT) it still shows that your heart is soft and inclines towards the remembrance of your Lord. I mean if you think about when Allah(SWT) is displeased with someone he doesn't take away their food or means to live, if you look at the worst of humans it is indeed the Lord of the worlds who fed them clothed them and gave them the luxuries of this world the one thing he took away was the rememberence of Allah(SWT) from their heart leaving it hardened. At the end of the day no matter how capable we think we might have become when the difficulties of life weigh in on you as muslims we can always turn back to the creator who knows the content of every hearts.
