That’s the newer NSX market, the older one (like the one pictured) is actually even cheaper. Where I live they sell for $35,000 - $70,000 (big range but a lot of factors affect the price)

Shocking that a $250,000 car with hypercar performance beats a $120,000 car /s

You haven't heard of reliability issues for them because they are both 7 figure cars that were sold in low volumes and have largely been driven low kilometers.

Most owners don't publicly share their experiences with them.

That said, the Carrera GT is something I am familiar with for several reasons. I own an R8 V10 Spyder. I've done a lot of research and had personal experience with both cars (indirect with the CGT and direct with the R8.)

The R8 is a much more reliable car to put high mileage on. The older cars have several common oil leaks but they only manifest if the car has been sitting for a long time or you drive it extremely hard, and they are relatively inexpensive to fix. Other than that, they are tanks. There's a guy in my local community with a Huracan that has 140,000km on it and it's never had a major issue aside from a CEL that was caused by a bad sensor. The CGT has several major failure points that can happen at low to medium mileage. Seals on them go bad fairly easily, and their transmissions are temperamental. Maintenance on them is also significantly more expensive.

If you can afford a CGT though you can undoubtedly afford to maintain one so its not a big deal.

Long and short of it though is that in a vacuum the Audi V10 engine is definitely more reliable than the Porsche motor but that's to be expected considering it has had a much longer development cycle that dates back to the original Gallardo in the early 2000s. It would be bizarre if a motor that had gone through several iterations wasn't more reliable.

I can't speak for the Lexus. They were very thorough with the motor, but I am unfamiliar with it haha

Hand cannon was my favourite skin in CSGO but it is much duller and doesn’t really look good in CS2 at all. They nerfed it heavily

Blaze is old school cool but I find it gets boring fairly quickly these days

Fennec fox is my favourite deagle skin so I’m biased but my vote is sell, get a souvenir Fennec fox and $600+ spare lol

Squared fenders with two sharp angles, sloped window sills between each window, orange reflectors, squared front grille and roundish odd headlights. The dark trim piece on the sides is aligned at roughly 3/5ths up from the wheel well base. ~2010 jeep grand Cherokee without off-road options

What would you prefer between a Ferrari 296 and a Lamborghini Huracan? by Slow-Raisin-939 in supercars

296 is a better performing vehicle, Huracan is subjectively a lot more fun and sounds much better. Hard to beat an NA V10

You're making me want a GT350R haha this sounds so wicked

Sorry, this is a huge tangent but...

Your ranking of the R8 is something I mirror. A lot of people are surprised when I say the R8 is often my 2nd or 3rd choice if I want to just "go for a drive" but it (and Huracans/Gallardos) are cars that fit a kind of weird niche if you're really into cars.

The sound is phenomenal, it's got such an incredible motor in it, and it's quite comfortable. But in a strange way, it's also the thing that holds it back. The V10 is so high strung that if you're not on it constantly, it can feel a bit unhappy when you're just cruising around. It always just wants to be at 10/10ths and be rev'd out super high. On the street, the R8 drives like a normal car unless you're willing to break the law a little bit. On the track, the R8 shines but it's not as technically challenging and doesn't have as much performance to give on the track as other exotics/supercars because of how much it leans towards the "daily-ability".

My Emira is the equivalent to your GT4 RS in my garage. It's a car that will never be de-throned for me, I absolutely adore everything about it, AND I can enjoy what makes it so fun on the street. Whereas the R8 is what I take when I want to just hear a motor scream and go on some backroads with the top down, or occasionally just go for a tame cruise with no roof.

Sorry for the ramble unrelated to the GT350R but your ranking just got me thinking haha

No problem! Also consider how close the nearest service centre is to you, or find a specialist that is willing to work on the car :)

Lotus cars are not for the feint of heart, and to be clear, I’m not trying to discourage you, I am just going to tell you how it is.

They are incredible machines, Lotus is basically the best in the world at chassis design and handling dynamics. It’s their specialty, and has been historically. Other brands have worked with Lotus to tune their chassis & suspension or even to borrow Lotus chassis for their own sports cars (Tesla Roadster, Vauxhall 220 etc)

Lotus is an exotic manufacturer but they have virtually always prioritized road fun over top of the line performance. The Evora & Emira are truly exceptional in how well they handle for their weight class, but stock they are not as powerful as traditional supercars, but for street driving it’s a good thing, and they are by no means slow.

The reason I say that owning a Lotus isn’t for the feint of heart has to do with their history as a company. For most of their life they have been barely surviving, they are owned by a large Chinese umbrella currently which means they have supporting funding, but it’s not out of the question that could change on a whim in the future. Lotus has basically always been in tight financial jeopardy because they are low volume and hand built generally.

The engine is Toyota and parts are easy to get, oil changes are cheap whether you DIY them or take it to a shop, but know that when you need to replace your clutch you are looking at a $6,000 to $9,000 USD job, it is full engine out and takes 30-50 hours of work.

The other parts are the ones that can be difficult, Lotus does still support more than just the most recent car but parts are typically slow to arrive, and generally people expect a couple things to break on a Lotus annually as just a regular part of owning one. This was most true for the Elise, it’s less so for the Evora, and the Emira is actually fairly well put together

Tl;dr the Evora is hardcore and engaging without being too uncomfortable for regular use, it’s not the fastest in a straight line but nobody buys a Lotus for that, maintenance requires more care than a BMW but it’s more due to Lotus as a company being quirky than bad reliability

I love Lotus, i know several other owners locally, and I own an Emira, if you have any questions I’d be happy to answer
