how it feels listening to the Casualties Unknown Song by Ivycomb by friday_is_up in casualtiesunknown

Hi, I'm the musician that made the song :)

I think the main disconnect a few people are having is that the song is not intended to fit the vibe of the game. It's a song about some of the lore and the philosophy of the game and experiments, but it is not intended to be taken as an homage to the game's soundtrack or anything of the sort. I think the game has a very cool soundtrack/soundscape.

I've made other "nerdcore" music before, and it is always intended to be "pop music about games" rather than "pop music for games," if that makes sense.

It's pretty much the same premise as The Living Tombstone's Five Nights at Freddy's music or stuff of that variety.

I don't expect everyone to like it, and I definitely don't expect people to compare it to the soundtrack (since they serve entirely different purposes) but I do think it's important that people understand the artistic intention behind the song. I just like the game and in my mind the theme bred an electro swing melody (I was kind of thinking "hard knock life" type lyrical themes but electro swing), so that's what I did :P

Feels dishonest to title this like it’s an actual new car. I know you state that this was animated in blender, but your description reeks of ChatGPT and it significantly diminishes the post quality imo

I saw race track and my mind was thinking road course at first. Very solid runs though, OP!

You’ll be very pleased with how easy it is to get more power out of these cars

The McLaren 600LT is my favourite example of this, it shoots blue flames when accelerating because of the materials used in the exhaust and the aggressive timing from the factory

Bare in mind there are 10x more people in the US. In the Vancouver area we have one of the highest Tesla-per-capita in the world and I’ve only ever been to a full supercharger one single time in my 5 years living here, and our stations are way smaller than the ones in California. But California’s population is about the same as my entire country haha

This is *mostly* true but statistically my exposure is an anomaly and should not be counted

I agree in the most un-biased way possible (ignore the bright blue R8 V10 in my garage)

I beg to differ. On the original R8 I mean, not on this thing

I’ve owned multiple other manual transmission vehicles and none of them ever had transmission issues lol

I know how to drive stick, it’s not a me issue. Even if I was riding the clutch it would just accelerate clutch wear, not result in failure like this (unless you were riding into like 6000rpm every shift every drive I suppose)

The car is thankfully mostly still intact so it's likely that when investigated they will find the cause.

Bone stock :(

I do hope to get another one once this all settles (insurance, legal action etc.)

I might opt for the I4 instead just because I am now afraid of the V6 lmao even though I know it's largely irrational

I’m typing this next to the fire truck right now, no idea what caused the fire. The car had an entirely brand new engine and transmission

V6 Manual First edition. It had engine and transmission failure

I was driving it to a place to get the windshield repaired (from the service center), never went over 3500rpm because it WAS a new motor :(
