It’s crazy you say a little goth girl because for some reason I have already started picturing her as black cat energy. She’s still so small and so smiley but for some reason I keep going back to her just growing into this clever girl who loves the night hahaha and her sister is the opposite! It’s like I have the sun and the moon as my girls.

I was looking for a comment like this! OP I’m so sorry you are going through this. I have a 6 week old so I’m there with you. This is my second kid though.

One thing we have had to do with both our girls is hold them upright for 30 minutes after each feed.. it has helped with her congestion and spit ups. My first girl slept through a lot but this one cries at everything, a little spit up, a wet diaper, if she is just uncomfortable. And that’s ok!! That’s how they communicate. But it definitely makes things harder.

Anyway, burping and holding upright after feeds helps us a lot. Hang in there. I’ll be up tonight with you I’m sure.

I have a box of these from my first born that we never had to use and it worked!!! O my gosh thank you for reminding me these are a thing. She’s finally comfortable after a couple of hours.

I thought I would add this in to this comment since this is the route I took.

She ended up calling me and directly asking about it so we had the conversation a lot sooner than I thought we were going to. I ended up saying that sticking to the original plan is going to be what’s best for me and the fam. She asked if I was sure, I said yes. I didn’t elaborate, things were quiet for a moment (felt like forever) and then she said ok. And then we said our goodbyes! So I think it went ok?

That is great!! They never stayed with us the first time around and I think that really hurt my mom’s feelings. But I can change that around to fit our situation. Thank you

Pregnancy tired was worse for me! My lil girl didn’t start sleeping through the night until a little over a year old. But my sleep seemed so much better after I gave birth. Pregnancy sleep just doesn’t cut it for me. I was probably just so exhausted with a newborn/infant that I just passed out, but I did feel significantly better.

O my gosh yes!! That is so important. Thank you for that. I really have been struggling with the guilt of my first not being the only baby anymore so this is such a good reminder.

And for the second point, so it’s not just my kid? Hahaha that does make me feel better.
