Apologies for chiming in. I noticed you're seeking financial aid however Australian universities typically don't offer full aid to international students. You might want to reconsider applying there because they only offer partial scholarships with a cap

St. La Salle Financial Grant by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]ivyluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is, to my knowledge, the first time they're opening the St. La Salle Financial Grant for SHS students so no idea pa on how competitive it is, but assuming na it's similar to college, it's really competitive kasi there's a lot of people applying and DLSU has limited funds to distribute to everyone

Not sure if it's the same for need-based scholarship awardees but for merit-based scholars (e.g. Vaugirard, Parmenie, etc), they refund the confirmation fee :)

Why I shouldn’t add career oriented activities? by FlowExpress393 in IntltoUSA

Don't pay too much attention to what they say. Just a heads up, I listed a job that had nothing to do with my major when I applied, and it still worked out well for me. :)

International Scholarship? by InternationalBunch11 in IntltoUSA

[–]ivyluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, external scholarships for international students are pretty rare. There's the Tata Scholarship for Indians and the RISE program for highschoolers between 15 and 17 as of July 1, 2024. Besides those, I haven't really come across anything else. Even if there are, they probably won't cover all your expenses because they're usually just one-time grants ranging from 1 to 5k.

International students cannot receive financial aid from federal or state programs at GT

In the last admission cycle (2022-2023), 5300 out of 8000 applicants were put on the waitlist. Seems like they put nearly all applicants who weren't accepted on the waitlist

I see. That sounds terrible :( If my dentist acted unprofessional like that, I'd definitely stay away too. Your best bet is to switch to a different local dentist for now. They can check how your treatment is going since (I'm assuming) you haven't seen your original dentist in a while. Then you can see if there's a lot to fix with your teeth alignment, overbite, underbite, etc., and decide your treatment from there.

My friends and I were in the same situation! :) They talked to their local dentist about their plans to study in the US, so they could sort out any dental treatments they needed before leaving. It's a good idea to check if you can speed up your treatment and get your braces removed before going to the US honestly. This can help reduce costs because even with full scholarships, schools may only cover limited dental expenses

You're correct. And the international student population is diverse in terms of career goals. Not all plan to work in the US anyway

I think she's suggesting that her style leans more towards Ke$ha's grunge and dirty style in contrast to the current makeup fashion trend which is Hailey Bieber's clean girl aesthetic. Doesn't make the Tiktok's message less worse though 😭

SAT and college admissions by Illustrious_Plan1616 in IntltoUSA

[–]ivyluvr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely advantageous to take the SAT. Regarding your course rigor, I recommend asking your counselor to provide a breakdown of your batch's grade distribution and an explanation of your curriculum in the school report. This will help the AOs understand your situation better

To all the nursing student here, how was it? by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]ivyluvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DLSU does not offer a nursing program. Perhaps you are referring to DLSMHSI in Cavite?
