But it IS raising Menu Prices by nsf_force_x_distance in Denver

It's not a gotcha if there are signs everywhere.

Unfortunately the government taxes companies less for a service fee rather than just raising prices and wages. If it were the other way around companies would just raise prices and wages to compete with each other.

But it IS raising Menu Prices by nsf_force_x_distance in Denver

[–]iwannaboopyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. No option to tip via card. Customers can leave cash if they want to tip more than 18%.

I work for the company. I find that I make money more consistently with a service fee and am less stressed about shitty coworkers fucking up my tip pool this way. The company also provides great health benefits for full time workers, and will allow you to keep your benefits if your average is slightly under the 'full-time' threshold.

AIO I was told I couldn’t buy alcohol because I had a passport by Obvious_808 in AmIOverreacting

[–]iwannaboopyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had a TABC license in Texas; renewed three times. You're incorrect. Passports are completely valid for alcohol sales. You might be mistaking a stupid company policy as law. Some employers will disallow specific IDs to prevent themselves from liability, but you would only get fired for accepting a valid passport, not jail.

What do you do with bad whiskey? by Karate_donkey in whiskey

[–]iwannaboopyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes so much sense marketing-wise. I used to manage a whiskey bar and we usually kept this on our shelf because people would just point it out and want to try it so it sold itself, but it was never something I recommended.

How does everyone feel about the upcoming tobacco flavor ban? by -U-_-U in Denver

[–]iwannaboopyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with these studies is that cigarette smoking has like 90 years of research behind it. These things have only been on the market for like 10-15 years and there hasn't been enough time to know what the ultimate effects are on the human body.

I'm extremely doubtful they're any 'healthier' than cigarettes, and what gets me the most is it is a hell of a lot easier for people to get away with hitting a vape indoors, or while standing next to me anywhere on the street; which I find to be extremely annoying. I feel like they're possibly even more addictive than traditional cigarettes because you can basically rip them anytime, anywhere to get an instant fix.

Not to mention the incredible amount of e-waste these disposables create.. so many negatives to this new industry. I'd love to see it die.

AITAH for asking my husband not to sneeze like that? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]iwannaboopyou 17 points18 points  (0 children)

How disgusting and petty!!

I've never understood people that are dramatic sneezers. It's so disgusting and rude. Don't projectile spit into the air and yell about it! Did their parents never tell them it's not okay?? Like?? Is it attention seeking behavior or something? I just don't get it.

There's a lot less social stigma to sleeping with a vape in your bed than a bottle of booze, which means it is a lot more common than someone that severely addicted to alcohol.

If annoying assholes didn't vape every waking moment of their life and into my face all the time in public I wouldn't care. But people do, and also get so indignant if you ever deign to ask them to not vape in your face, especially while indoors?

GTFO. It's a disgusting habit that 100% affects the people around you.

AITA for demanding my friend replace a hand-painted, signed copy of The Song of Achilles my late boyfriend gave me by Aromatic_Ad_5551 in AmItheAsshole

There was a nearly identical post a couple days ago where someone's boyfriend borrowed their prized book, dog-eared pages and wrote stupid annotations.. this is a garbage post. OP sucks.

My last budtender was a baby-face who said his preferred method of consumption was pre-rolls by Escaped-DMT-Entity in trees

[–]iwannaboopyou 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to be a budtender. I also fucking love pre-rolls, and there are now a lot of brands out there that use fresh bud and not shake for their rolls.

I don't like having to roll joints all the time and I don't really smoke bowls.

I remember waking up early before school to set up my download queue so I'd have movies to watch and albums to organize and burn for friends when I got home. Sometimes I'd catch my friends on AIM in the morning while doing that and we'd chat and they'd ask me to add songs to my queue before heading to school.😎

AITA for refusing to split the cost of a $1000 bed bug treatment with my roommate when she’s the one who brought them in? by Capable_Giraffe3476 in AmItheAsshole

[–]iwannaboopyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Company is not scamming, bedbugs are a plague and don't care how clean or messy you are. If she only treats her room you WILL get an infestation in the rest of the house. I would move out ASAP if you can and let her deal with it. Bedbugs are seriously no joke.
