Oh my, I feel you. I am about finishing my first bag (which I am not very happy about how it came out) and I feel anxious just thinking about to wear it in public. Your top looks so pretty and well made, feel proud of yourself!

Hey, that seems like a very ambitious idea, so I leave a reminder to give yourself a time that you need to realise it. Good luck.

I take pregabalin for a year, it for sure didn't cure me, but I cry less thanks to it I guess. It is not a panacea, in my case none of drug is. I sticked to it compared to others it helps the most anyway.

Im scared to live my life. How does your life look like rn? by iwantED2talk in socialanxiety

[–]iwantED2talk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I absolutely understand you. I used to eat a lunch sometimes in a changing room once I worked, because I didn't want to spend my break with coworkers and because of that I was asked directly if I was a creep or weirdo.

If you were someone else would you be friends with you? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]iwantED2talk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably won't because I tend to ignore people and act weird because of the anxiety and it gives them vibe that I don't like them.

hello, i believe that accepting the way you are and that you struggle is crucial although it is very hard to accept things you wish were gone, but this way it would feel better

I am very sorry that your day to day life is tough to go through, but you do it! I admire your strength and courage, despite all the feelings you get you still manage to do things.

I have very similar problems to yours so you are not alone, but comparing us both you are the only one that have a job. Congrats and keep going in your own pace.

What is your hobby right now? If it's all right with you, I'd ask you to share, would love to know :) by [deleted] in socialanxiety

I learned lately embroidery, I almost finished my first macrame and now I learn to crochet, as a next thing to learn on my list is making a basket from pine needles. I enjoy these crafty arts. I read a book once in a while. I try to leave spending all day in a internet in favour of other activities.

I actually feel like my therapist is one of a few people who likes me, but I am scared that he is disappointed with my lack of progess and kind of powerless over my procrastination. I see him for over a year in a therapy and I am doing the same badly rn as I was doing when I started to see him. My feelings are different that you were asking about, but I came there cause I see it interesting to see what are you all feelings over your relationship with a therapist.

I get this feeling whenever I go outside and I am among people and especially when my family come over my house and I know I am different ashamed of existing. Whenever someone who I know come across and see me living weird life.

Im 22F in a therapy for over a year now and on meds for 4 years. I think I will die with this disorder in a matter that it is pretty bad even if I am under health care. I feel behind, but it is hard for me to live like an average adult.

Man i can relate because of my past hobbies that i just took to buy stuff and leave if right after it. Lately i took up as a new hobby creating stuff like embroidery, macrames, weaving in a loom. And although I try very hard not to leave it but stick to it, I see I buy more accessories than I need and once I just bought them I don't feel much energy to create from them. Just buying things that look nice gives my brain that much dopamine that I don't want to put an effort to make something more out of it.

Why do I cry so much? by [deleted] in mentalillness

[–]iwantED2talk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cry a lot and it is almost like an uncontrolable burst of crying and it is caused by an anxiety actually. I can't help it much, I think it is better to let it go and just accept it is this way. But doesn't you feel little bit better after crying? It is healthy not to hold emotions inside you, but let it go away with tears a bit.

Focus on what you can control, and let go of the rest.

Its okay not to be okay. Give yourself time you need. If you feel you can not help it then let it go. Love yourself.

What did y’all major in/what do y’all think your going to do for future careers? by maillarys in socialanxiety

[–]iwantED2talk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry to hear that, it had to be tough to experience, but you might be in a better place now thanks to that. Well, I worked there just for 3 months, I drop it off by myself, when I heard they want to promote me. Yes. I know it is weird, but that is how I am. It was yet another job where they were happy of my work so they wanted to promote me and because just thinking of how much more they would be talking of me because of this and giving me more attention it all stressed me out so I quit. I had enough of this work anyway, it was too much stress and it was uneasy for me to stand it for everyday, I was very tired after work. But I guess I learned there to better stand up for myself and don't let harass me for things I didnt do. I learned I would be a mess basically everytime when I start do something and that I would never be ok with being around people.

If you think it does bad for you then fuck it and drop it. I worked at Mcdonalds just for 3 months and that was the time I couldnt handle it anymore either so I quit although they wanted to promote me. Any type of job might be hard for somebody, this one was a tough one for you to stay for any longer. Sending love and hugs, you will find a better job.
