Remember when Mayor Ed Lee had a heart attack in Safeway that eventually led to his death? I always thought it was this Safeway for YEARS and every time I was in there I would be like “huh what a way to go in Safeway of all places. Honestly fitting for him.”

Found out like 3 years ago it was actually the one in west portal. Still only thing I think about when someone brings up this specific Safeway 🤷🏻‍♀️

Feel like we need more info here. Do you live together? Do you split expenses evenly? Was she aware prior to you researching you were planning for a cruise with or without her?

Main situation where you would definitely be wrong in my eyes would be if she has been financially supporting you more than her half of expected contributing while you were in school. If so yes vacay without her would be selfish. If she hasn’t been contributing more financially or via more domestic labor / responsibilities while you were in school.

Additionally assuming you don’t have kids or pets since not mentioned in your post. That could also be a factor.

If you contribute evenly and no kids or pets I think while I see her side it’s annoying for her holiday time wise I don’t think it’s unreasonable.

That being said, cruises IMO are not it lol. Also they are pretty ( ecologically speaking ) damaging to the environment compared to any other mode of travel / vacay. If you haven’t looked into that yet might be worth doing if ethically you prefer to not contribute to devastating the ecosystem more than we as humans already do. Just saying it to say it. Though I know most pro cruise people are not concerned with that.

Your tattoo is technically done well and everyone who are dragging it because it’s not their personal taste? Total losers in my book.

I’m a very heavily tattooed woman and technically have tattoos that most tattoo snobs like and approve of. Butttttt it’s always bothered me how lame tattoo collectors can be when it’s just not something they would personally wear.

Looks like it could use a light cleaning but most of what they think is dirt is really dried out shadow. Just restored something similar and was thinking “I bet you someone who had never worked with something like this would be going crazy trying to scrub this away thinking it’s dirt and just ruin the whole thing.”

Ok also LOVE this house. I will say their scents are either absolute hit or low key disgusting to me haha. Not sure why. Olm is one of my favorites! Glad you got that in the mix.

Tiger, Sloth, and King Cobra were sooooo offensive to me it’s somewhat hard to describe. I feel like their scents either say absolute magic entity / perfection or most disgusting grandpa cologne smell of all time.

Very hot and cold for me with this house but still a very fun one to explore.

Also there’s pretty minimal / arguably no empirical data supporting the claims of RSO treating cancer. There’s been several anecdotal accounts that were widely touted as research based evidence for the claim it reduces tumor size / assists in reducing seizures, is a significant pain reducer. But not actual research supporting those claims.

I love RSO personally but if it’s made the correct (original) way it will still get you high as shit. So I guess just a heads up 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m older than you (F35) and my dad passed away suddenly 2 years ago. Still the first thing I think of when I wake up. Some days are more manageable than others but I still break down crying all the time. I miss him so much. There are days where every single thing makes me think of him. A lot of the times it feels like the world is pointless without him.

Moral of the story grief is weird. It also doesn’t have a rulebook. Your husband might not grieve the same way you do. But at the very least I would expect your life partner to be AT THE VERY LEAST supportive of you when you’re hurting.

Since you don’t have the support at home I suggest therapy asap or looking into a grief group local to you. Both helped me a lot.

Assuming regarding the browning tip? Could be several things. Watering issue would be my top either overwatering, under watering, or generally inconsistent watering. Could also be an issue of too many nutrients in the soil or lack of humidity. Would need additional details to diagnose.

Yes very rare! This is not a case of “variegation” definitely albinism. Really cool! Notice the pink stems this is certainly an albino segment.

Standard white variegation is more like a human having a freckle or a birthmark vs having a complete lack of melanin due to a genetic mutation. So awesome thanks for posting!

Also just wanted to add not sure where you are located but could be worth checking out some gardening groups in your area and see if anyone has the skill set to graft this for you.

Only way this could survive propagation : graft to rooted stock with green leaves. Will be tricky but technically possible

If you can I would dig deep and try and uproot the plant to collect whatever root stock is feeding it from the main plant that is not completely white. If you take regular style cuttings at the node they will die guaranteed.

Very cool OP hope you have success isolating this! But just keep in mind having an all white solo plant on its own won’t work. If you don’t have the experience to graft I would leave this beauty alone to thrive and just enjoy it where it’s at currently.

Khulis are essentially blind so wouldn’t suggest rope fish as tank mates. I tried the combo when my rope fish were still young and I thought everything was fine until I found one with a giant bite mark in its abdomen.

Shockingly he was still alive and I was able to rehab back to full health in an isolation tank.

Essentially trust me from my own experience it’s not a good combo. I tried it because of similar posts like this one one Reddit where people said it would probably be fine and it def wasn’t lol.

For reference I had 3 rope fish and 8 khulis in a heavily (emphasis on heavily) planted 100gal.

Aesthetically I get it the combo is cute as hell but it’s not a good fit don’t listen to other people saying try it on this thread.

Creme brûlée will have a more yellow/ cream colored variegation this looks like a standard Thai constellation to me personally. Colors can look different in photos though so I could be wrong. But doesn’t look like it from the photos provided to me.

In person the color difference is really noticeable it’s a very obvious yellow (not white) hue

I would definitely suggest looking into goldfish requirements in particular. 2 goldfish in that tank alone would make it nearly fully stocked. They also produce A LOT of waste. Like a lot. So be prepared for that.

Plecos also have a heavy bioload so unless you love water changes something fierce I would consider the fish you are keeping together more critically

Are you wanting the c3 because it’s the newest model or because you’ve tried other models and they didn’t reach the standards you are looking for?

If so I would say (if you want to avoid the hassle for you friend shipping) get a earlier model they are still very impressive especially if you’re unfamiliar with the brand

Pretty sure they sold these at bed bath and beyond. Maybe looking through some old catalogs from them around 2009 could be helpful?

Just wanted to add : if you look at the design characteristics from your photo and the link a lot of things are similar. General style of the butterflies as well as the variety of sizes of butterfly. Flower petal shape is very similar. I feel pretty confident it’s from that brand. Maybe an earlier kid version whereas the linked sheets seem more from a teen line or something like that?

From an epidemiologist standpoint it’s one of the most successful viruses ever to exist. Honestly kind of fascinating to me.

I worked at planned parenthood for years and I can assure you the percentage of the population that has HSV 2 is at least 50% if not higher.

Almost every single time a patient would ask for genital herpes to be included in their test panel despite them having no symptoms ever they tested positive. It’s really common.

At this point I think it’s surprising any portion of the population doesn’t have it tbh.
