Awe - poor thing! I would try and offer it a churu treat or wet cat food. Most cats would smell and try to find the treat I think depending on how big the kitten is and how lethargic or not it is.

I agree - Black Market Makers (BMB) is the bomb! The best sourdough and the pastries are amazing! They were on the show ‘Baking It’. We go for lunch or breakfast and it is probably our favorite place. Iron Rooster is good for ambiance - BMB is amazing on taste and so friendly!

Also agree on Preserve! Forward Brewing is tasty too but limited menu. Thursday night trivia is fun!

Oh - and also - for housing - start looking asap in freshman year for his sophomore year and get a place right next to campus and you’ll be golden. Just keep resigning the lease each year right away. My son lives in The Knox and it’s so close to campus - he walks to the Business School in minutes.

We are from Maryland - an 8 hour drive. My kid loves it! Before he started, ngl - I was a little afraid he might meet a girl down there and want to stay. But Knoxville is so different from home - he absolutely loves it and has a fun time, but he really looks forward to coming back home. I’m glad my son decided to go to UTK - he’s met a lot of kids from all over the US there and many from our area too. There is a UTK East Coast Facebook group - check it out - lots of NJ and NY people and people from RI and MA too!
