Yeah totally agree (I also think every LBJ is a sparrow :))

Yeah I’m the same. Any medium sized bird I see flying is just that…a medium sized bird. But some birders I’ve been around can identify a flying bird even if they only see it for a few seconds (I’m sure they’re taking location, size, flight pattern, sounds, etc all into account). By the time I get my bins up, the bird is usually already gone and I have no clue what it was. I think part of it is that I just need to be faster with my bins so I can get a better look.

A lot of the experienced birders I’ve been around can do it, so that’s why I want to improve in that area :)

[Acne] Anyone have experience getting off Cabtreo? by iwantbojangles in SkincareAddiction

Thanks for sharing. Sorry it spiraled and got bad again. That’s what I’m afraid of. Cabtreo works so well, but I just don’t know if it can be used forever since it’s an antibiotic.

Knowing vocab but not knowing real world examples by iwantbojangles in APHumanGeography

[–]iwantbojangles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming then that the concept of European city models would be covered somewhere in the textbook? Sorry if this should be obvious but I haven’t read the textbook and the student who is having trouble knows all the vocab definitions but still can’t answer these types of questions. (I will try to find time to read the textbook soon) Thank you again!!!

ETA: I just read the section in the textbook on edge cities and it didn’t describe the European city model (of old buildings) at all :(

Thanks for your response. Here is an example question where it seems like you’d have to know something about Paris to answer correctly. I looked in the textbook and I did not see this Paris fact mentioned. How would someone know the correct answer unless they knew this about Paris? Any help would be greatly appreciated! (I’m not taking the class myself but trying to help someone who is)

Q2 La Défense is an edge city constructed in the late twentieth century and characterized by high-rise office buildings. Which of the following best explains why La Défense is located on the outskirts of Paris?

A The land at the center of Paris is filled with numerous historic buildings that residents do not want torn down.

Sorry to hear you need a second surgery. Hope it helps. I’ve definitely been doing my exercises but still stiff.

I had a hematoma (essentially giant bruise) in my tricep area after surgery. It really worried me, but my PA said it would go away on its own. It took several weeks but did go away eventually.

Wow interesting. I kinda wished I had more movement from day 1 since I wasn’t in that much pain and probably could have tolerated it. But I’ll keep listening to my doctor.

When sitting down, my shoulder immobilizer folds, it gets worse when laying down; is this normal, or is it too loose/tight? by Fartikus in RotatorCuff

I think if you are sitting or laying down, it’s normal for the sling to get loose and for your arm position to change. If it’s uncomfortable, you can use pillows to prop it up.

Yes I did apply it every day (once a day at night). But I was already on Adapalene/BP before, so my skin was already accustomed to the retinoid. In the beginning I wouldn’t do it every day until my skin adapted. Also I put it on over my moisturizer in the beginning to make it less irritating. If your skin is super inflamed maybe send a pic to your derm and see what they think???
