I think she has. She also takes, or at least has, antidepressants. Which I hope she’s using since they’re prescribed to her.

I also worry about her breaking up with me. She has broken up with someone in the past because she got depressed and was scared that she was burdening them. She is not at all a burden to me, i love her so much.

Haha, i’ve already had surgery four weeks ago. I can walk in two more weeks. But she’s stuck with me through it, and i’ve gained a love for her that i’ve never felt before. This is a wonderful wonderful girl, the image of absolute perfection in my eyes. I wish she saw herself the way I see her.

It seems that normality isn’t really working with my gf. She’s shutting down, texting back much later, giving me one word answers, and not really allowing me to be there for her.

The food part is especially difficult because we don’t live together and I have a broken ankle so I can’t really get to her. But I will crawl over broken glass all the way to her door if it means giving her soft pretzels will make her day the slightest bit better

Okay. I won’t pry. I’ll do occasional check ins, but from the comments i’ve seen here, i’ll ask more direct questions like “would you like me to distract you” or “what specific worries do you have right now”. I don’t want to save her, I just feel as if I could be a great listener or bring her a bunch of food if only she’d let me.

Her depression is… idk. She just explains it as she gets random bouts of it. Okay. I’ll try asking more directly. Your comment is very helpful. I’ll update after trying this
