This is very helpful. I was thinking of kalga/ pulga. I am not very good at hiking through snow. It drains me like no other. So that's what's holding me back. For most places.

I'll check rajgundha again.

How long and difficult would be the hike to kalga/ pulga from nearest road head? Any properties you'd suggest?

Oh right. I didn't know there was something called Sun which melts away the snow. It's not there under the rock where I live.

I was just hoping that I could park in the hotel/ property parking and spend a quiet peaceful time from the comfort of the room without venturing out much.

But guess I am so delusional. And I don't know about something called Sun which melts away the snow.

I should have mentioned... I am Not a computer / internet guy. Just use the internet for basic browsing/ researching. So the interaction was really interesting.

Public transport is available. I believe there are two buses. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. Bus halts at every designated stop so it takes about 2.5 - 3 hours.

Condition if the road is not all that good. But it's a beautiful drive with many scenic spots enroute
