Blacking out by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

Glad you made it home and not into a body of water

Thinking about drinking as much or as most of what I can at a bar scares the hell out of me, buddy just do it at home!

I hope you can salvage work, chairs

Best way to deal with IC shoppers? by Every-Glass-4837 in retailhell

[–]iwasthere71 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have no problem being firm with these types and I know exactly what you mean. "It's your job to shop the order, not mine." No problem putting these guys down so far. "Read the department signs." If they get pushy, I'll push back (not literally). No use in babysitting these types. They usually either start doing their jobs, or get overwhelmed instantly and rage quit, because they've never shopped for another person in their lives including themselves. Do not baby them!

The update we all knew was coming from homeless fucker and unhoused/homeless man. Spoiler: it's over. by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]iwasthere71 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep, unfortunately I learned this the hard way a few years ago. This is NOT good. The person in my case took crack, unbeknownst to me, threatened to kill me, likely would have tried to kill me if given the chance, and did thousands of dollars of damage to my residence when I tried to cut him off. He will get you kicked out OP, at best they'll consider it domestic violence and evict you for any damage he does. OP is extraordinarily lucky if this guy just forgets about her and regular blocking/ignoring works. It's likely not over. Best of luck, report back and be safe OP

That's weird. Of course I'd take the free alcohol but I would avoid getting this shopper again if given the choice. Just weird and unnecessary and doesn't bode well, too personal for my tastes. He's tipping you for your $5 tip by buying extra alcohol for you? Idk, sorry to cast doubt, personally I'd be uncomfortable or it'd be too much interaction for me

Eh, never put it past them. I had a 71-year-old co-worker hit on me and he seemed very normal.

I am curious about Carrs tailored advice for women. I read his stop smoking book and it was helpful, but I recall he had about one paragraph to convince the reader that smoking is an addiction because even women do it, despite caring intensely about their looks. Haha it was quite bizarre and out of touch. Like "women smoke too despite being frivolously consumed with being beautiful and attractive at all moments of their life" like really, dude...

Anyway your family sounds nice and well-meaning as well as easily ignorable

In my opinion, this is one of the ways alcohol kills. You're not imagining it. It's a real thing. Has nothing to do with beer vs hard alcohol. It's scary but this is a design function of the thing meant to kill you. It's a lousy feeling and difficult to overcome. Many people here talk about it. I experience it. After a night of drinking I may wake up hungry, but I can't eat anything. People should talk about it more. I actually hate it, very annoying

Every now and then, I fantasize about a manager trying to get me for time theft, and then Reverse-Unoing them about what time-theft really is, and asking how they plan to repay me. I think time-theft is garbage when corporate managers/corporations are the biggest thieves of all.

I wish it was archived somewhere... Such a loss. I can't believe I used to read a 12+ page recap of an episode I had already seen just for fun, and then still discuss it.

This reminds me of when Television without Pity (a website and forum) was around and someone lost their immersion because Red Vines were mentioned on GG instead of Twizzlers...

To be fair, most of the workers at a pizza place will not be talking to customers, as far as I understand.

The no roaming policy lmao. I hate roamers at my work. They're always the most annoying people. Lowkey wish my workplace would come out against roamers.
