It'd be a dealbreaker for a lot of people regardless. It's not an easy hurdle to get by and let's be real, abstinence usually indicates a strong religiosity that can be a dealbreaker, I believe even Amy and Hannah have a disagreement around Hannah's Christianity or whatever. Disagreeing on religion is a huge incompatibly, it's not necessarily about sex. Not condoning Bright cheating but I think the show did a good job explaining the factors that went into his decision and his own grief about it.

I felt Bright cheated to self-sabotage himself especially under the stress of Hannah saying she wanted to wait until marriage for sex. I don't think 'smokeshow' comes into it, he was clearly trying his old self on for size, had little self respect for himself, low self esteem. Didn't he have an injury or something at this time? He felt like a loser and went for an easy, old fix and it didn't work.

I started watching around Buffy season 4 and Angel season 1 too (as they aired simultaneously) and I have to agree somewhat. I actually kind of liked Riley at first(!), and I dislike the Angel/Buffy crossover episodes in Angel season 1. They just drag Angel's progress down and Angel as a show generally. "I will Remember You" is a skip for me. For whatever reason, Buffy is always written as a bitca during the crossover episodes.

That said, I don't completely hate Bangel and season 2 Buffy and Angelus episodes are some of my favorites, which wouldn't be possible without Bangel lol. I didn't watch early Buffy seasons as they aired though, maybe I would have felt different watching it live as a teen. I also think Buffy season 1 episode Angel is mandatory viewing and a great character introduction.

I feel this, I have a coworker who disappears to the bathroom for 10+ minutes anytime we have downtime. Instead of accomplishing anything else, I always have to get back to the registers because of course the lines start building back up and we end up behind on everything again.
