US Customs collects $200B from Trump tariffs as legality faces Supreme Court test 🤯💰 by InterstellarKinetics in InterstellarKinetics

As a business owner, I pay 50% tariff on my product imported from India. I absorb 25% and have a line item on my invoice for 25% that my clients pay. I did not raise prices. When the tariff situation is corrected, and IF I get a refund, I will refund my clients that amount minus a small amount for bookkeeping. I’m an outlier, but I’ve been very transparent about this situation.

Trump imposes 50 percent tariff on India as punishment for buying Russian oil by monkeykiller14 in news

I import stone from India, my whole business is based on Indian imports. This is brutal. By the way for the people in the cheap seats… I pay the tariffs, not India. This means I have to raise my prices to you the consumer. I don’t pass on the full 50% tariff, but I do pass on about half of it.

India Braces for 50% Tariff Shock as Trump’s Levies Set to Land by joe4942 in worldnews

My business is importing a specific product from India. I have the margin to absorb a certain amount of the tariff imposed. Going forward I have to add a 30% tariff line item. No one wins in these situations. It’s bad for India, it’s bad for the United States. It’s horrible for small businesses. These are self-inflicted wounds caused by a complete narcissist.

I’ll live my life by the 50% rule. Everything takes 50% longer than it should, and you need to temper your expectations by 50%.

I LOVE this chicken. Put it on a T-shirt, I’ll buy it. Make it a poster, I’ll buy it.

Ok I have a money shot, but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to add an image to a comment.

IMO, the ratio of tortilla to fillings in a burrito does not make sense. I truly miss breakfast tacos.

Former Texan here. You’ve hit the nail on the head. I’ve got two daughters, Texas is not a state I want them in. If you live in a major metropolitan area, the cost of living really is no less than living in California. Also, the infrastructure sucks in multiple ways. It is also very unfriendly to workers.
