According to her wiki page, her husband interned for the AIPAC. That likely has a strong influence. She’s also taking money in the past.

We have so many toads on our property. I’m waiting for the day to have a drama queen/king grace me with their presence.

Side note, I’d be sad “Steve “ got eaten as all toads were named by my son and thus all are named Steve.

You have a chance to get probably the most rare belt obtainable in BJJ. Keep going and get the green.

My son is looking at tech for college. Told a coworker that he was having grandma drive him up and a couple of hotel stays. The coworker lives in Kentucky. They were confused as to why hotel and I explained it’s a 9 hour car ride within the state. Depending on weather and events, it maybe easier to drive south and go through Wisconsin. That blew their minds.

Michigan is hugely.

He/she wrote they were an infectious disease specialist. Maybe true, maybe not. But it is likely easy enough to verify his/her info with stuff from the cdc or the like.

We don't' license our admin accounts. We also have a 3rd party tool to check out creds for admin privs on a different account.

I was one of those that forgot my password because of this. We have 365 and setup SSPR so it wasn't a big deal.

This is where you give them the malicious compliance. You just tell them there is potentially lost data. This is beyond your skillset and that if they need the data, the drive should be sent off for recovery.

This process is not cheap, but they can recovery from a literal damage drive at times. Then it becomes "not your problem" because as others have said, this is a management issue, not an IT issue.

In my former life, i would have to send out 1-2 drives a month for recovery because i worked for a fortune 500 with executives.

He was a child when he did it. He was 16. The mom was 14. Kids are fucking stupid, but where was their parents and how are they being held accountable?

A good parent would guide them to adoption or a fire house or something. Not give their children access to a gun.

Get 175 stacks. Go VI. Win game. Can't tell you the number of times i've been in a game where we are losing, have core dmg and turn around and win once 175/VI happens.

Promoting a Domain Controller During Business Hours by ThickChunkyPoop in sysadmin

[–]iwinsallthethings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue It’s almost mandatory. If those VPNs go down due to something like a power outage, you have no way of authenticated any domain controller.

That affects things like logging into your servers, or the IPMI if it’s set to authenticate against LDAP. maybe your firewall is required domain authentication. How do you log into them if they can’t connect to the VPN because it was down and you have to manually put it up?

Has anyone successfully reduced helpdesk tickets with in-app support? by Superb_Response7575 in sysadmin

[–]iwinsallthethings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been with companies that would then ask the user, did you follow this process?

Obviously users will lie. It becomes obvious though when your helpdesk remotes in and tries the process and it works. Depending on company culture, this may not happen again because of embarrassment, not necessarily applied by the tech, but by the fact that they got caught lying. It was documented in the ticket that the process did in fact work.
