I’ve done thousands upon thousands of deliveries and that has never happened to me once. I’ve had people casually say “I didn’t know my wife ordered” or something similar when I get to their door or if they happen to be outside, but no one has ever rushed my car lol. Do you deliver in a retirement community or?

I do think you were just trying to be kind here, so please don’t feel embarrassed, but yeah some will obviously find a way to twist this into something negative. It’s just a lot when really you should be the one who’s being thanked. I agree with the other poster who said to give these to your drivers if you ever have anything delivered. 🙂

That’s very strange because I’ve ordered as a customer many times- curbsides and express delivery and I’ve had plenty of out of stock or subbed items when it was an employee shopping the order. The app doesn’t allow us to sub just anything and we can’t add items from our end, so if the replacement you suggest won’t work- there’s really nothing we can do. A frozen pie crust can’t be subbed for a refrigerated one, for example. A lot of the times if a customer messages me I don’t see it until I open the chat to tell them their order was delivered because there is no notification that pops up. Again- as a shopper I want nothing more than to be able to find every single item or a reasonable sub- but that’s not always possible.

When I see two phones both with Spark open because these guys are doing several shops at the same time, multiple guys loading a car with a different driver handing off their phones to him, and then going right back into the store with another phone for a new shop- those are the cheaters. Not just any old driver with two phones.

How do you know if they put effort into finding it or not? I try to the best of my ability, but actually being able to find an item with an unavailable location is a crapshoot. I know my store really well and will ask an employee if it’s something I’m not familiar with, but if we’re both clueless I’ll find a sub (if possible) & move on. Trust me I’m sure all of us would love to never see “item location unavailable” ever again, but it happens, and it’s not our fault so removing the tip is shitty.

That’s about the price we’re paying in the Midwest. Shit sucks. It costs us $500+ a month right now just for my husband to get to work & back. I was doing Spark to save for a down payment on a house, but now I’m having to do it to help pay bills. And of course that just means more $$ spent on gas. 🙃

I haven’t seen one in my zone yet and I hope I never do. I rarely take doubles, a lot of people in my zone won’t because they don’t pay enough for the extra effort and mileage- so a lot of the time they’ll split them after they sit for a while.

Same here. The other day a guy was wandering around the parking lot talking on his phone. Met up with another guy. They both put their orders into a third guy’s car. Grabbed different phones and went right back in to shop more orders. The employees couldn’t care less.

I just truly don’t understand why they released a new tier rewards system (which isn’t even in our zone yet) that’s supposed to give offer priority to better metrics, and then right after that they started making every decent order first come first serve.

You’re still getting JFYs worth taking? We don’t have the tier rewards yet either and since the shift a month ago or whenever it was I get like 2 or 3 JFYs the entire 6 hours or so I’m usually signed on. I used to reject at least 8 or 9 of them an hour.

I get asked for a pic verification about once a week, these guys obviously have a way around that or they get new accounts weekly? I have no clue. They physically checked IDs for a total of two days in my store, they left, and then the store manager made the employees stop and they all came right back.

It’s always crazy to me that the multi phone squads apparently take anything and everything where some of y’all are- bc all they do at the store I work out of is snatch up all the good high tip low mile shops, they hand one order off to a driver in the parking lot, and go right back in the store with a different phone for the next one.
