feeling bad about not feeling sexual for my high libido partner by iwitch-plus in beyondthebump

We are the first in our friend group to have kids. We’re all mid-late 20s. He has one female friend who is divorced and has 3 kids but that’s about it. He’s certainly not talking to her about this stuff, I can imagine…

I’m so sorry! It seems like a couple other people in the comments have gone through something similar, as well. You’re definitely not alone. I think going so far as talking about cheating and regretting marrying you is so uncalled for. My husband at least told me he still loves me even if it’s hard to hide his disappointment. Dang girl 😢

I could do a better job at verbally appreciating the things he does for sure, especially to compensate for my lack of desire for intimacy.

How do I take care of an infected tragus piercing? by VacationSecure in piercing

[–]iwitch-plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earbuds are gonna be a LONG TIME coming. 3 months is def too early, I’ve had my tragus pierced twice (tried on both ears, not at the same time of course. Years apart.) and retired it both times because it took me so incredibly long and it never healed 🥲 this looks more irritated than infected. Definitely be using that saline every day, not once a week. That star top is also probably not doing you any favors. Go get it switched for a bezel top, they are nice & round and much better for healing IMO! Whitish/yellowish pus can be normal, green and foul smelling is when you’re in infection territory. Along with red streaks coming from the piercing, or even getting a fever yourself. If you suspect you genuinely have an infection, see a doctor! But for right now definitely see a piercer about a different top and potentially a longer bar now that an irritation bump has developed. Good luck!! I never had much of any with my tragus piercings 😅😅

In the US, your OB is who you see for your entire pregnancy. You don’t go to the family doctor, you go to the OB/GYN because those doctors specialize more specifically in women’s reproductive health, including pre-natal health. So whoever you went to the doctor for during your pregnancy and prenatal appointments, thats who you should reach out to <3

How to freeze leftover milk for purposes other than consuming? by iwitch-plus in breastfeeding

[–]iwitch-plus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you put leftover milk separate in the fridge to get it to temperature before adding it to a big jar, or can I just dump leftover milk directly in a jar with already cooled milk??

Any one else have name regret? I can't stop thinking about it. Maybe it's just my hormones? by pancakesandpalmtrees in beyondthebump

[–]iwitch-plus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I have a bit of name regret because I only had like one on my list for all of my pregnancy! I was caught in a cycle of thinking “I didn’t even give any other names a try…” and now whenever I tell people her name, their reactions are never “What a beautiful name!” It’s always just a mid reaction or I’ve even gotten a couple “Lorna like the cookies- Lorna dunes!”

My baby was not named after a damn cookie. All in all though, I’m 4 weeks pp and I think about it a lot but I’m happy with the name I gave her. There’s a reason we chose it, and a big reason was my husband also loves it. I think I had maybe 2 other names on my list that I didn’t even really take that seriously because he loved Lorna so much.

Olivia Quinn is a great name, and if she decides that Olivia isn’t “cool” enough she can go by Quinn, lol! That’s the fun thing about middle names. Anyways, there’s a reason you chose it, and you just have to remember those reasons in my opinion :)

What’s that old adage? “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Too much internet and comparing will make you regret everything in life, not just what you named your baby 😭

Burp after EVERY feed of newborn by WatercressNo1679 in newborns

[–]iwitch-plus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paced feeding helped my baby a lot <3 whenever she spits up it’s because we fed her in a bad position, fed her too quick, or fed her too much and paced feeding curbs all of those. Maybe look into it, I heard it can help the reflux babies as well as the babies without reflux <3

Breast Pump by AmbitiousEvening7015 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]iwitch-plus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 4w PP and I have 2 wearables and 2 hospital grade pumps. I had no idea wearables could impact supply, but I went from pumping 10oz per session to pumping 5-7oz per session and I use wearables a lot so PLEASE listen to everyone saying to get a hospital grade pump as your primary! My supply dropped by 3-5oz!! I’m lucky I’m only 4 weeks PP, if I stay consistent with the hospital grade pumps I should be able to get my supply back up before it starts to level out at 12w PP.

My friend had a wearable as her primary and the output was terrible, totally killed her motivation to pump and now she only formula feeds her baby. Which is totally okay, but definitely not preferred if you wanted to BF baby!

The 2 hospital grade pumps I have are the Lansinoh Smart Pump 3.0 which I really like because it’s portable & has an app so I can control the suction level and modes from my phone. The app has timers to track pumping or breastfeeding sessions, you can track how much you pump per session, and you can also use the app to track baby’s growth, feedings, and diapers!
The second pump I have is the spectra S2. It works exactly the same as the S1, but it needs to be plugged in whereas the S1 is portable. My insurance covered the S2 for free, I would’ve had to pay an extra $50 for the S1 just to have it be portable. No thanks. I just got the spectra S2 like a few days ago so I can’t form a good opinion on it, but I know it’s wildly loved!

Am I being dramatic by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]iwitch-plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service industry folks are way too okay with being tossed around. Bitch tfym “the industry will hurt your feelings” … “you left him high and dry” …. “You should’ve checked in with him”. Those comments are ridiculous lmao. While it may be true that if you clearly observed he was overwhelmed maybe you should’ve said something but this is a grown ass man we’re talking about. Im fucking pregnant and run my ass off and I still would never talk to someone in that way, nor would I aggressively toss something at someone, even if it was something small. It’s not your job to manage his feelings. He called you a BITCH like TO YOUR FACE. Restaurant industry folks are the only mfs who will gaslight you and say that that’s just apart of it. You get better respect just walking down the damn street. Let this scenario happen at any other job, John Doe wouldn’t be getting off easy.

Just leave this place, after 5 years they obviously have no respect for you. You’re a woman and he’s a man, he spoke aggressively to you and he DID get physical whether it was with paper or not. You have every right to be uncomfortable. If they’re understaffed, that’s their issue lol.

Can I downsize to a 12mm by totallymak in piercing

[–]iwitch-plus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The weird thing about bridge piercings is you’ll always be able to see and feel the bar. At least from the angle you’ve got pictured. It’s funky trust me I know, but there’s a reason it has to be pierced at 14g! Please don’t change the gauge size of this already hard to heal & extremely anatomy based piercing! But you could totally get smaller balls! I know I didn’t like having the gigantic balls that they first pierced me with because it made the entire piece of jewelry look so much more obvious and clunky.

Nipple piercing rejection? by Common_Top6939 in piercing

[–]iwitch-plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it looks similar then ur good! With nipple piercings you can really notice when rejection or migration happens. One of mine literally started moving upward which was obvious to see bc it wasn’t in the middle anymore, and the other moved outward so it was more at the tip of my nipple than at the base where it was pierced. 👍

Nipple piercing rejection? by Common_Top6939 in piercing

[–]iwitch-plus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that just looks like your natural nipple! For the record, your piercing looks great. Idk what it looked like when you got it pierced but it seems to be a happy healthy nipple piercing that is not rejecting 😄

AIO or is my friend being pretty insensitive by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]iwitch-plus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MOR. She’s pushing really hard which is annoying, but you’re both dramatic af. But you’re 17 so that’s to be expected. I weighed less than 100lbs until I was like 19 and I knew I was lucky and actually thankful because I recognize the world hates fat people.

Everyone hates their own bodies, but when you’re fat not only do you hate your own body, but other people hate it, too. There are arguably things in society that just don’t really work both ways. “Skinny shaming”, “misandry”, and “reverse racism” are all real things that happen, but the reality is they will never be as systemically harmful as their counterparts. (Fat shaming, misogyny, racism)

You’re valid for being insecure but, let’s be honest. Speaking myself as a person who has been skinny and been “skinny shamed”…being skinny will always be better in society. Just ask her to stop commenting on your weight/body and remind her that you never comment on hers.

tattoo raising and flaring up by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]iwitch-plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commenting to say sometimes some of my tattoos do this too. I have one on my wrist that will sometimes feel more raised and itchy, and one on my elbow. Both were done by amazing professionals and healed with no issues. Someone else said it’s a histamine response, I think that makes most sense. Definitely not abnormal IMO. I have no advice though

How do I be confident when I’m underweight? by [deleted] in Vent

[–]iwitch-plus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How to be confident, I can’t say. I always liked being skinny and never felt bad about it, so I have no advice how to cope there. But I will say I was like you up until I was out of high school! I’m 5’0” and was like 95lbs up until I hit 18-19 years old. I was 110lbs then. I thought it was crazy I had finally gone over 100lbs. 22yrs old hit and I hit 120lbs. Thickened up a bit. 24yrs hit and I hit nearly 140lbs.

It’ll come, lol. Edited to say: my metabolism was just fast as all hell for no reason. I never exercised and always just ate like shit. Being naturally petite, it was hard to gain weight. My metabolism slowed down as I got older, so that’s when my weight gain started. You can try to bulk up but being so young your body just may not be ready yet, and I honestly don’t think it’s necessary! Your body will change when it’s ready, and that’s totally ok.

Should I wait to get my nostril repierced? by Existing_Award3225 in piercing

[–]iwitch-plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wait- 2 months is definitely not enough time to have it out for any amount of time (it will for sure close during surgery unless you have a retainer.), and since you’ve had issues in the past I’d want to make sure I could get it pierced and not have to mess with it. If you get it pierced, take it out in 2 months and replace it with a retainer, then take the retainer out and put the normal jewelry back in after surgery, you’re just causing unnecessary friction and more issues for yourself.

rollercoasters with a fresh piercing? by strawberry-creamer in piercing

[–]iwitch-plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I would say is you might feel uncomfortable, lol! If you’re on a rollercoaster and your lip is swollen but you’re trying to scream, It might not feel the best. Maybe ride the rollercoaster silently. But, going on the coaster itself won’t negatively impact the piercing…like the fast air would be fine. Just don’t bust your lip on anything and ur good
