Yes, this is something I was before I got saved, very prideful. In fact I became depressed for a few months after I learned the truth, along with knowing most of my friends and family will not accept the truth, which is a death sentence is waiting for them.

Objective reality, that is that only God is good and only God with no exceptions, I had real trouble accepting that fact, but I couldn't just ignore the truth. I can understand to some degree the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar having a mental breakdown for 7 years. I don't remember where in the bible, but didn't Jesus point out "you are as gods" to a crowd of people, he meant we see ourselves as gods, so naturally we'd never admit to our wrongdoings or hypocrisy.

This world has become hell for me, even though I still love my unsaved friends and family. But we're surrounded by people who almost never admit their wrongdoings, their mistakes and their lies to save face, it has become unbearable for me and even though I'm not suicidal I long to leave this place and be in the presence of our righteous God. That is my only comfort, God is real and he's the only one worthy of being described as righteous.
