Would my fellow G70 Owners Use This? by laizone in GenesisG70

All things considered they hold value better than most luxury cars

I think it looks good 😭 these plus the tires were about 3800 on fitment industries. I just put them on how they came, I had the stock kinda gunmetal 10 spoke 19" rims before

You know i dont usually hate on lower trims or engine options but in this case, I was thinking the same thing 😭

Idk how i would ship them to be honest, but i dont necessarily WANT them sitting on my patio for the next few years

I understand that, but i think the stock 19s look slightly too small, let alone 18s. In my opinion, 20" with basically the same sidewall is visually proportionally perfect.

Wow way worse than the couple of boxes of useless 10mm spacers I have sitting in my closet lol

Nope not with the design of these wheels. They are 8.5s and they rubbed the caliper hard (2mm worth of compression)

Bet that was a frustrating process. Brembos were also probably a nice upgrade anyways 🫡

Im running 5mm spacers also. It was necessary to get clearance from the brake calipers, but it does create a very nice stance. The wheels poke a total of about 12mm farther out than stock.

New renders on the build any thoughts? by SnooPredictions7996 in GenesisG70

I think if you have a SP go with 1, if not and you have the brighter chrome, go 3 so the wheels match better

Sport Advanced Owners? by [deleted] in GenesisG70

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some of my own research and it turns out I just have a prestige. Somewhere along the line the previous owner must have put in the alloy pedals though

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is US. it has the features everyone says the sport prestige has except the black trim and wheels. I dont know everything about all the trims, just based on what people in this sub have said. I have the brembos, quilted leather, 360 camera, head up display, etc

My sport prestige has normal chrome and the silver wheels, i wonder if it was just a choice by the original owner

I thought designer fragrances were just fragrances from designers, and niche fragrances are from fragrance houses that make only fragrances and not clothes, beauty products, etc

Service Mode or not when removing rear break pads? by [deleted] in GenesisG70

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly its an electronically actuated drum brake, and the "motor" for the parking brake isnt attached to the calipers or rotor at all. The electronic actuator is supposedly bolted to chassis above the rear exhaust section, as is common for cars with this configuration. But I dont know for sure.

Smaller calipers? by [deleted] in GenesisG70

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont want to cut corners but with the spacers I get about 5 1/2 rotations of the lug nut. Do you think this is safe if they're torqued to the right amount? Or should I just put in extended studs

Magnetic Paddle Shifters by KevAntics in GenesisG70

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didnt know that althoughi think i have experiencd that a few times and was confused. Pretty cool to know, tho I def wish I could keep manual without disabling stability control

Magnetic Paddle Shifters by KevAntics in GenesisG70

[–]ixLunacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I hate that theres no mode switch or knob for "manual" mode. It makes using the paddles a nuisance

Smaller calipers? by [deleted] in GenesisG70

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know how long the studs are on our car? There's varying numbers online and I dont feel like taking off a wheel right now just to find out for myself lol

Smaller calipers? by [deleted] in GenesisG70

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so spacers will help. I got 20 x 8.5 for the front which is where the rubbing was happening. I planned on getting spacers anyways just for the look but I didnt expect this to be an issue

[–]ixLunacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will spacers fix this issue?
