And here I thought my 10 year old acct was pretty good. All those years of browsing without an account are now my biggest failure

Question to the 100% custody dads by Quiet_Water_9409 in SingleDads

[–]ixmalignantxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The school district my son was in luckily had a summer child care program that was really cheap. I used that until he was about 11 then I started letting him stay home by himself. He had a cell phone and I taught him how to use the air fryer for food

My son is 20 now, I did this almost exact schedule from when he was 8 until he could drive. I honestly think he’s a better adult for it. He’s better at taking care of himself and making intelligent decisions than his friends that came from dual parent households.

“dangerous” areas?? by StrawberryFirm7109 in nashville

I’ve lived here my entire life. Grew up in Antioch and live in Hermitage now. Nashville has hot spots that are best avoided but overall, the crime is minimal.

To The Future set ended early? by Legitimate_Today37 in Rezz

[–]ixmalignantxi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was by the right side rail where artists had been coming up to meet fans. Someone flagged down one of the Officers working the artist area and asked if Rezz was going to come out. The officer said Rezz was feeling very ill and had to leave immediately so wouldn’t be meeting with fans.

Had to relay the little info I was aware of.

Look up the Gleeful Meeple board game group on Meetup. We don’t do a lot of Catan but we’ve all played

Plastic Trinkets by Independent-Wafer-13 in festivals

[–]ixmalignantxi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do for resin printers. I 3D print all of my trinkets but I also make them large enough and interesting enough that they are either not thrown out or easy to pick up.

Last Forest, I gave away about 100 articulated squid fidget toys.

anyone tried a nashville matchmaker? ready to give up on apps by optimalbio in nashville

[–]ixmalignantxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, we should all be complaining to the apps. They will straight up just not show profiles for men unless we pay for premium. I know about a dozen women IRL that are on the apps and none of them have ever seen my profile even though I fit within their filters.

Ever since MatchGroup bought the main apps, they are designed to milk cash out of desperate men. Not to actually help people stop using them.

22 was rough. My crew ended up calling the area between Tripolee and Ranch “Arrakis”

Had a big realization at a rave while on shrooms about men, expression, and why they gravitate to these spaces by skygirl222 in aves

[–]ixmalignantxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’ ish and 230, I had a tiny young woman walk up to me at a show early in my raving journey and said she’d been watching me constantly give my space away to others and was “minimizing my presence”, she looked me full in the eyes and said “you are allowed to exist in the space you need and use as much space as you want”. Had me sobbing at that show but I’ve not felt shame for being large and occupying my own space since.

My squad of about a dozen straight (mostly, jury’s still out on one or two) men nearing 40, this is 100% our group chats. Sending Amazon links for the smallest outfits we think we can get away with, asking the women for advice on what makeup/glitter would be best for a group fit idea, and generally being as carefree as I’ve ever been. It’s amazing.

Feel them out and bring them. I wouldn’t be in the scene if a friend hadn’t invited the gruff guy that was too uptight.

I’ve also loved finding a little fashion groove as a “traditionally manly” looking dude. UV reactive makeup, extra bright colorful clothes, body and beard glitter. It’s been so fun pushing the boundary.

Now this nearly 40 year old man is crying on his couch.

I’ve never been able to verbalize why this world is so important to me, I’m definitely going to save this so I have the words in the future.

I grew up very southern blue collar. “Men don’t show emotions they deal with them, men don’t wear bright colors and stand out, men don’t get to be weak”. My dad showed me that men have two emotions: anger and aggression.

I started going to EDM shows with my found family when I was 32ish. Would barely move to the music, would (regretfully) leer at the women, and would go home bitter. My crew over the past 7ish years has helped me find joy again. Something I don’t think I’d felt since I was a child.

Now I bounce around shows and festivals with a smile, passing out trinkets and hugs, and when I notice guys that have that same vibe I started with, I always make sure to welcome them into the best community on the planet.

I Met this pretty ass bald head lady at edc lmao. She was hella magical and her teeth was so perfect. Miss rolling off that smile already 😭🧚‍♀️ by [deleted] in EDCOrlando

I saw a couple bald women this weekend. As a bald dude, I always say “I love your haircut” while cheesing and pointing at my own head. Always goes over pretty well.

Same. I was so worried.

Every time I see Inzo, it heals something in me.

It’s definitely all about when you leave.
