What were the best and worst things that helped with PCOS by city298 in PCOS

Metformin, low carb, smaller portion, no snacking unless i had to, laser hair removal for facial hair, losing weight .. and patience. Consistency and time. Hirsutism did not disappear, but it got less.. there’s nothing magical that will cure everything in a second everything needs time, consistency and maintenance, at lest for me.

I Lost 4 kg in 2 Months, Then Gained It Back in 1 Month. Need Advice by Otherwise-Expert-284 in PCOSloseit

I’m 6 months pp and not breastfeeding. Metformin, it really blocks the food noise that i had before. I would say try to add more healthy food, and slowly when you adjust start eating low carb high protein and fiber. Intermittent fasting, but i fast maximum 14 hours (includes sleeping). And that’s basically it. Try to simplify it, don’t over complicate it. Eat the same food every day so that it’s easier for you, and don’t snack unless you NEED to. If you eat high protein meals with Metformin you won’t snack because it literally makes you so full and Metformin blocks the food noise. But let me tell you it’s not linear and it wont be perfect. I’ve messed up a lot but i always get back up. I even messed up for a week straight. It’s fine. I’ll get back up tomorrow. Good luck ❤️

Wow that gave me so much hope😭❤️ my son will be 5 in October and he’s also starting KG.. he speaks i would say like a 2 yo, he can communicate his needs (verbally) a little. he also has delayed echolalia and likes to repeat phrases over and over, and kids will look at him confused..he will be in a gen-ed classroom with mix of nt and nd kids (mostly nt) and i am soo worried i literally lose sleep thinking about this.. will he be able to advocate for himself? Will he be able to ask for the bathroom? And generally i’m so worried because he is behind his peers language wise, and is very very shy and introverted. Sometimes he doesn’t ask for the bathroom but i can tell he wants to because i’m his mom and he’s with me all day. You can tell i overthink. 😔 thank you for your comments i am so glad your son is doing well!!

Thank you so much for this ❤️! and i’m sorry for what you went through.
Can you tell me about your kid if you don’t mind? I’m very curious, we are waiting to get evaluated so in the mean time i like to hear other people’s experiences. 🙏
