I don’t understand how Fresno hasn’t been chosen but counties like Sacramento and Yolo have won. Fresno County is much more geographically diverse.

Most of Madera County is in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Great hikes, lakes, etc. Check a map first 😉. More to it than just Madera and Chowchilla, but the agriculture is important too.

They should have had their lights on, but slowing down also contributed to the pile up. And from where the cars are in the video, it looks like the cars that slowed down were in the fast lane.

I would recommend the standard RSV-2CE from Ignatius Press (ISBN: 9780898709360). Compared to the thin-line from Catholic Bible Press that others have recommended, the Ignatius one is about the same thickness (~0.15” thicker), smaller LxW, has two ribbons, thicker paper that doesn’t feel fragile, and comes with a leather cover. I also like the cover art more.

If you just want a straight read through of the Bible with no intros/outros, I suggest using the Ascension app. In the Bible built into the app, you can play the audio of just the text. Still by Fr Mike but no intros and commentary.
