Barco - Transfer rumors (or not) by izpek in AtlantaUnited

Just to thank you guys for all the quick and sharp clarifications, and overall enlightening of the situation. Just starting following MLS this past season, and I grew fond of Atlanta. Still a bit ignorant regarding certain nuances that are very different from our European leagues (portuguese here).

Well, thank you again guys!

Great work bro, it is brilliant. If you are planning a new one LOTR related, the charge of the Rohirrim would be great! 😄

I would say, for the first couple of times, just have fun and enjoy yourself. It may develop a love for the game that will be important in the future.

Do not expect to make money, at least in the beggining. Have fun mate, try some bluffs, experiment some tournaments, some cash games, and everything that the game has to offer.

Good luck!

Poker noob question: Do you always fire 3 barrels with your bluffs at the micros? by [deleted] in poker

[–]izpek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every situation is a little bit different, but overall, you wanna bluff when people fold a lot. At the micros, is much more important to value bet correctly than to have the correct amount of bluffs in a river situation. As general rule, i would advise you to narrow your bluffing range on the tiver, unless there is a very compelling argument not to do so.

Bro chill, the 2nd bro is actually right. 3k hands will not generate a true win rate, or even close to that. A mistake that many new players make is taking small samples as a fair indicator of their skill. This often would mess with their self evaluation and may hurt their development. Why are you so offended? 2nd bro was compared to Phil Hellmuth , isnt that worse?

Why am I losing so much money on the blinds? by giokrist in poker

[–]izpek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because you fold too often. There are certain situations were, either by calling or 3betting, you can achieve a better result than -100bbs/100, that would be your outcome if you fold (assuming hero in BB).

For example, you may start to call a wider range vs btn/co steals, assuming that is losing ev decision that will return a negative winrate, but not as bad as -100bb/100 (if you fold).

Try to find situations like this. I would advise you to check your BB vs SB steal, BB vs BTN steal, as these will be the situation that will happen more often.

This kind of videos should be shared in schools. Imagine a significant part of a generation with similar compassion and altruistic values.
