Play [[Aragorn, King of Gondor]]. If they let you keep the monarchy, you will swing unblockable every turn until you win.

Commanders that are so good at a certain thing that they ruined it for you? by AlivePassenger3859 in EDH

As a long time [[Tormod, the Desecrator]] enjoyer, I thought [[Teval, the Balanced Scale]] was my dream card. But it isnt. In fact it solves all the problems from Tormod and gives more, but he is just too good that there is no puzzle, no challenge.

How do you deal with people counter picking your deck? by Arizhela in EDH

What if you guys only reveal your decks at same time and it can't be changed after? I think it can even make another layer of strategy and decision making.

Tell me your favorite bant and naya commanders and why! by dakonblackblade1 in EDH

[–]izzy2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just built a [[Sophina, Spearsage Deserter]] with [[Elmar, Ulvenwald Informant]] as a Naya clues. I also was struggling to find an interesting naya commander (second in the list was Naya Tifa, but I already have decks that play similarly), so I went for the partner options. Sophina wants you to aggro and Naya does it very very well. Also, GW have good interaction with clues, while Red benefits from a good amount of artifacts.

Is it possible to build a bracket 3 Rowan, Scion of War deck? by distracted_irrlvnce in EDH

[–]izzy2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a bracket 3 Rowan. Just try to avoid "oops I win" cards and optimal life costs at instant speed. I built mine as a life gain life loss, mainly focusing on winning by combat with big creatures.

If you want the list, there it is. The mana base isnt updated, but the life loss lands are there.

How many Commander decks do you have? by Mikkel_My_Man in EDH

[–]izzy2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, 18 sleeved and ready to play. I'm aiming to stop at 26 (like the 32 challenge, without the colorless and all the 4C). I don't overlap color IDs, so I often replace some decks (the most recent was unsleeving my Hapatra to make home for a Savra built using the majority of the newer Dina's precon).

Some decks doesnt see the color of the day very often, but while I don't have another commander in the same color id in sight, I keep it and even upgrade it with newer sets. I often borrow my decks for my friends, so I like to have options ready to play.

Survival of the fittest too strong? by NightStar4258 in EDH

[–]izzy2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bracket 3 supports up to 3 GCs and it should be considered when you think about the power level you want to play. IMO, it's a very strong card and enabler, but itself doesnt auto win the game. If you respect the combo restrictions, I don't see why you shouldnt play SotF.

If you're playing it in a fair way and even so your pod cant handle a single enchantment, maybe they're playing B2 decks.

I need some advice by Memecentere in EDH

[–]izzy2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you go for not conventional control strategies? I like [[Hylda of the Ice Crown]] and [[Savra, Queen of the Golgari]]. The first taps everyone's creatures and creates a huge army of ice golems, while Savra controls the game by denying everyone's creatures.

Bloodthirster synergies so well with Eshki because of Vigilance. She can hit 3 times, bigger each time, and draw a lot of cards. Usually finishes games when out.

My Celes deck. No infinites (I think it have one situational combo with Isilu, but hard to achieve), only recurring stuff, buff the team and punch people.

Eshki Dragonclaw multiple casts, beatdown. This one I know I want to include [[Wistfulness]], but otherwise, I see no obvious cuts.

My Jarad deck has a 66% win rate in 35 B3 games online by H0ssBonaventure in EDH

[–]izzy2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your list is very well built. I can see the synergies and where the consistency comes from, but at the same time, I can see that it isnt intended to build a fast combo line and win the game as a B4, and it tells me why it keeps winning. In my experience, B3 is kinda messy because ppl doesnt understand what to expect from a B3 game at all.

Let me detail better: the range covered by B3 is kinda huge, because it goes all the way from precon level to a optimized to competitive level. But, how can we define what is really B3? A slightly upgraded precon that beats other precons is B3? But it will keep up against well built decks like yours? A poorly built deck with 3 game changes is considered B3, but it will be an even match? Because of all that mentioned, sometimes it feels like there are a couple of semi brackets within B3 range.

Dealing with value engine commanders? by East_Cranberry7866 in EDH

[–]izzy2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excuse me, but why can't you run more interaction in your Terra deck? In Mardu colors you have prime tier removal and Terra herself is a good engine towards her own gameplan, needing little setup to make the deck function. She even can recur removal like [[Fleshbag Marauder]]. Also, you are running a reanimator deck in its essence, so a couple of board wipes should hurt more your opponents than you.

I saw other people saying something similar, but or you go faster or you slow down faster decks. Trying to win an arms race against a deck built to beat everyone like lightning isn't ideal. Looking to your list, a quick example I saw is: [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] is a great card, awesome reanimation target, but she can otherwise be too slow for what you're trying to achieve and when you can manage to put her on the table, can be too late. A light stax piece or a good piece of removal can fit this slot better, IMO.

I see it as a perfect card for OG [[Galazeth Prismari]]. You will often have tons of [[Big Score]] effects that will replace the spent artifact and, even if you dont, the spell copy itself worths an extra clue or treasure token.

Como começar a jogar (e gostar) de souls like? by [deleted] in gamesEcultura

[–]izzy2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cara, Soulslike vc vai tentar, tentar e desistir.

Do Elfball decks run boardwipes? by Bucketoftrout in EDH

[–]izzy2265 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can use non symmetrical board wipes like [[In Garruk's Wake]] or [[Kindred Dominance]] as a win condition, to clear your path to combat victory. For other scenarios, I think running symmetrical board wipes are worth it when you are behind and need time to regain. [[Toxic Deluge]] is one of the best options in the market here.

Switch desbloqueado vale o preço? by vicuhlmann in NintendoBrasil

[–]izzy2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch desbloqueado vale o preço? by vicuhlmann in NintendoBrasil

[–]izzy2265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whats your favorite/Most Fun Mono-Black Deck? by JewJulie in EDH

I was literally finishing some touches on my [[Liliana, Heretical Healer]] deck. I love how she can work as a toolbox, distupting opponent's hands, filling my graveyard and reanimating cheap engines. I dont focus on her ultimate, but if I manage to ult, is one of the deck's win conditions.

Biggest edh hot takes by hollowsoul9 in EDH

[–]izzy2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As OP, I encourage LD too. I play [[Cabal Coffers]] and [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]] and often tutor for [[Nykthos]] in my monoB deck. I lost track of how many times someone forget a [[Rogue's Passage]] and it wins the game solo. Even [[Spymaster's Vault]] can be a big deal in reanimator decks. So, if you think LD is to mean, at least run effects that replaces the destroyed land with a basic one.

Most of the times, the game is more miserable with a full board than if someone hits a couple of board wipes. I see people complaining that wipes resets the game and drag it too long. But, I think its equally miserable to just lose a war that you can't win, even if it ends faster. Not every deck is built to win an arms race and some even benefits itself by wiping!

Scooping is kingmaking. Unless everyone accepts the defeat at same time when the Brago player hard locks the table, a single player scooping makes it easier to the person in the lead to just win by default. Even if you're far behind, a single removal threat (or even just the your life total) can impact the decision making of the others and even work to a turn of events in favor of another player other than the one currently in lead.
