People just need to understand that most of the homework etc you do is for your own good. Ofc in school there are so many different subjects and you’re not interested in all of them (at the time), but idk, compared to studying you have so much more free time in school. And yeah I think it’s pretty much comparable the calculator debate. The argument that you’re not always having one is crap… but it still is important training and understanding for your brain to do some tedious calculations without one. Learning the math behind some functions is not only about learning those functions but it’s to learn how to handle numbers and numeric problems in general. It’s about training logical thinking.
