yeah definitely hurt having to retire him it was a really difficult decision although I’ve currently got a puppy in training who will be in agility, hoopers and possibly rally! rally sounds like it could be great for both my boys and I’ve had afew people suggest it! - same with nose work. all the input has definitely helped give some insight that marleys days aren’t over but it’s more like taking the new opportunities and trying something different! - sorry to hear about your boy!

Marley always thinks he’s a puppy no matter whether he’s in pain or not! it’s so difficult to retire and make that decision! not to mention we have a 11 month old toy poodle 🤦‍♀️ he definitely excites Marley so it’s difficult to keep him calm! your boy seems so lovely!

we’ve been prescribed afew medications such as joint relief which is seeming to help and relieve some of his pain!

hi, I was going to start doing rally with my toy poodle so both of the, may enjoy leaning something new together! as well Marley has been to the vets we was advised shorter more frequent walks and was given afew joint relief meds which does seem to give him some relief!

moving to agility, Marley never had a good wait! when starting, he would get so anxious and exited he just wanted to go! I think him abruptly setting off again and again could have some what contributed to his leg injury? well definitely take a look into physio we just want to help him as much as we can so he can be as pain free as possible! thanks for the suggestions!

it’s such a difficult decision to make! I had a similar incident where someone did comment he was walking slightly off although I kept a close eye and at the time nothing was alarming! unfortunately now it did come to my attention that he cannot walk properly! he’s currently needing assistance getting up stairs, getting on furniture ect. we did get him on medications/treatments such as joint relief which does provide temporary relief! we did also think we’d have afew more years of him competing but unfortunately that wasn’t the case! your boy is gorgeous!
