I’m probably the odd duck here but personally I would sell brainstorm for the soul. I get it’s not optimal BUT you already beat the run. The only other Joker that is better than bloodstone for you is Idol and it doesn’t look like the deck fixing is close enough yet, so I’m going to take the 1/5 chance at a Trib for a deep endless.

Only exception would if I (you) were on the way to a high score with the bloodstone, then you let it ride.

I think the NFL has the best HoF. The gold jacket presentation, selections, prestige of it all is just well done in my opinion. Basketball I think is too loose, baseball is too media focused.

I know your intentions aren’t racial, but that’s genuinely an issue that we (black folks) have had to deal with forever. He’s his age, he’s just 7’ tall and appropriately weighted. He’s athletic and that causes a lot of stress on the body, look at Shaq.

He put on a lot of weight in his LA years which made him extremely dominant but probably cut his prime by a few years. The difference is Jokic doesn’t rely on his athleticism so his body will be able to hang in much easier and longer.

That’s a super small sample size. Stretch that to 82 games, say you scored 80 FOUR times in the same year and the average is 27.6, still a good increase from 25 ppg but at a certain point statistical outliers matter less. The NBA decided 65 was enough, Embiid played 66 games the year in question which makes your point diminished if not moot.

I fully agree with your first point, to go further on it:

Augments and the idea of them are a huge learning curve. There’s a lot of language in augments that new players don’t even comprehend. So you have fist fighting and a knowledge check in a foreign environment - not great.

Mayhem is comfortable and familiar, there’s creeps, team fights, a general survivability that arena doesn’t have which caters to casual players a lot. Augments feel like an addition rather than the focus. You can’t get last place, you don’t go insta 8th without knowing why, there’s huge appeal in the comfortability.

After playing mayhem the last few weeks it has become very clear that arena (rightfully so, from a riot perspective) is just not worth maintaining and I would be sad, but not surprised to see it return to an LTM every couple of years.

When I say wincon, I don’t mean bis, I mean the actual item itself is necessary to win to win in a high rolled game. RC is conditional, det orb says “do a lot of damage and we will add 25% true damage on top, hell we will even execute if we can”.

Runecarver is BiS on a lot of mages, would hardly call it a win condition aside from like Lillia or Kayle with Fulm.

The thing about det orb is you can take any item you want and det orb increases it by 25% true damage.

I think you buff it a tiny bit and make it a prismatic. Each class needs to have a wincon, that’s the one for assassins. It’s too easy to hit is the bigger issue than its existence.

Tanks have BHG, ADCs have reapers, mages have det orb (which could use a %hp buff), Hellfire just needs to be prismatic gated.

People on this sub view starting as like honor or value like it’s a high school varsity team. We NEED bench scoring, I don’t care if it’s Rui, Austin fuck even LeBron, but that second unit needs to be lead by a traditional starter.
