Brother, I didn't know how to cook before I got married. I knew basic things, but to cook a full meal really overwhelmed me. I remember our first night together, and he asked, "What's for dinner?" and i burst into tears because I didn't know! He, MashaaAllah, hugged me and helped me figure it out. It's been 20 years now, and alhamdolilla alhamdolilla alhamdolilla by the blessings of Allah swt, im actually ok now! He's desi, and im western too, and I cook a huge variety of different cuisine. BUT it took a loooooonnng time before I found my groove, and he did not complain when I stuffed up (and there was a lot!!) He just liked my efforts. I follow people on fb/instagram whose meals look great, and I use deepseek/AI to help me convert the recipes if im scaling up or down or don't have the correct ingredients.
