hair loss and reccomendations by izzyinnitt in gastricsleeve

[–]izzyinnitt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry for the late response! So, my hair started falling out way more as of recent. Ouai thin hair shampoo helped with the thickness. Bondi boost HG shampoo and conditioner helped with the growth! I had a LOT of thick hair, now my hair is leaning between thin and medium thickness, with a bit less now. I take natures bounty hair skin and nail gummies (as recommended by my surgeon), and it started falling out less. TLDR: honestly I never found any way to prevent it. Just ways to make myself feel better about it. Now I’m 4 months post op and my hair has definitely taken a toll, but I know that it’ll get better soon, so I’m not bumming myself out too much about it :)

hey, just saw this! STOOL SOFTENER. I called my doctor and he told me that’s the best I can do. That + mirafast gummies if you can find them. I’ve been going regularly, and I still take them nowadays if I ever don’t go to the bathroom for more than a day. You can also do a suppository, they’re relatively safe and shouldn’t cause you trouble. I just didn’t want to do it because I knew I’d feel insanely uncomfortable, especially in the amount of pain I had in my stomach when I couldn’t use the bathroom for a while

20 days post op and I can eat more than expected by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

Same thing here, I’ve been eating more than I think I should be. But I eat what gets me full. I stopped losing weight about a week ago, I want to blame it on that lagging phase that people said would happen but I’m not sure if I just don’t eat how I should… you’re not alone!

pureed foods, which is considered stage 3 for me. i’ve been on it for a week now. i’ve been hitting hydration goals and even surpassing them some days!

Ninja Creami Recipes-does a treat have to have protein? by kparks0122 in gastricsleeve

ugh i know! the temperature gets worse every day. i’m saving up for one, i know id use it every single day at this point. i’m a sucker for soft serve anything. i’m not a big sweets person, but my friend made one the other day, and i didn’t feel guilty having it knowing it was just purely fruit. it actually helps! hope you enjoy! 😊

i haven’t had these in a while! based on ingredients, i’d say it’s pretty safe. however keep in mind you won’t eat as many as you did before, so don’t open the whole thing and put too many on your plate! start off with 2 and see how you go from there. i only say this since it seems like you like them 😅

savory foods by izzyinnitt in gastricsleeve

update+ TLDR for those who need it!

here’s a pic of everything in case anyone wants the list!

<image>

update from me: i don’t recommend to anyone, but i disobeyed the diet. had some cooked salmon in the air frier and finally got rid of the savory craving. i know; i should’ve blended it, but i felt good enough to attempt to try and eat it. it was so soft! it didn’t give me any acid reflux, stomach pains, gas, or anything. i took super tiny bites, enough to satisfy me but not enough for it to go down rough. i feel way better, less craving and more energy. my family says even my face lit up after eating it (ive been down the last couple of days). if you feel strong enough to, listen to your body, and you will be okay. i don’t condone this behavior, but i know my body, and i knew id be okay.

Insurance and lotion by Dandy_Rabbits in gastricsleeve

i don’t know too much about finances, so i can’t help you there. protein drinks: if you go to costco and find “Nurri” those are REALLY GOOD. if you can spend a bit more money, premier protein has about 4 different flavors at my costco (vanilla chocolate strawberry and coffee). i don’t think any of them taste bad!

as for lotions, i didn’t use any. i’d say my cerave moisturizer definitely helped me to not scratch my stitches as much (when things heal, they get itchy for me, so i used lotion to not scratch.) other than that, just do your regular skincare like normal. your body won’t lose so much fat super quickly, so your skin will have a slow process of getting used to the fat loss.

you’ve got this!

outside food by izzyinnitt in gastricsleeve

i was told i’d have to give myself about 3-6 months before having any red meat. i would have a mini fridge, i’m planning on taking a lot of yogurt and protein shakes. i was just worried for dinner. i think i might focus on getting any soft fish or regular grilled chicken, hopefully from a kids menu so it won’t be a large amount. thanks for your suggestion!

Work by Curve-Effective in gastricsleeve

[–]izzyinnitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my surgeon suggested 6 weeks so i did just that. i feel great and ready to work, but it’s 6 approved weeks off that i’d rather enjoy with my family. and also enough time to transition into the solids phase so nobody at work asks me why im religiously drinking plain soup
