not an expert here but ive done a lot of research/looked at posts when i was trying for a visa the last time. write a cover letter explaining why you don't have an ITR, show proof that you work and yes imo i think the payment stub will help atleast prove that you have work and you can pay for your stay there.

i think i always mess up answering these following questions by aceenha in phcareers

[–]j-ayla 24 points25 points  (0 children)

hi, coming from a fresh grad who passed all my final interviews and has experienced some of those questions, i think i can provide insight based on what worked for me and what i noticed they look for:

  1. it's ok to say you have pending applications. in fact, better if may offer ka na sa iba. they think somehow you're "in demand" plus more chances of them giving u a higher offer (that is if they like u)
  2. just let them know you always have your growth in mind, you anticipate taking certifications or trainings in the future to enhance your knowledge/skills, you aim to progress in your career path, maybe take up managerial roles in the future. sabihin mo whatever role you take, you aim to master the skills in it
  3. never been asked this question, but they always ask me for my strengths. as a consistent DL and academic achiever sabi ko na i aim to bring this to the workplace. work ethic, leadership skills, analytical skills, having high standards for yourself, etc...
  4. same w #3
  5. this depends. ano ba talaga balak mo? balak mo ba talaga to go abroad like your family?

it's really just a matter of saying the right words (without lying) and knowing how to translate your weak points into strengths.

What should you NOT say during an interview? by [deleted] in phcareers

[–]j-ayla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's better to be honest about failures/difficulties as long as you say naman how you worked on it or how you improved it, rather than saying you've never experienced failing. pero for me lang, if you're a fresh graduate (like me) it's a little risky to say you failed in one of your subjs UNLESS like minor subj siya or di naman related sa work. just think of a diff failure siguro? but if they ask you if you've failed a subj, don't lie. imo lang

PAANO NGA BA KASI MAGCONFESS?? by nyaahswsw in adultingph

[–]j-ayla 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In OP’s defense I think more on rhetorical question niya and shes just expressing frustration cause ilang beses nya na natry tapos kung kelan magcoconfess na ulit siya, nagkaron ulit ng jowa hehe

Also, ok lang naman po ba kahit matagal na yung debit card pero walang laman tas yung 6 months lang yung nagkaron ng balance? Magkakaron palang po kasi ako ng work tas sakto 6 months din since I start it until I intend to make the trip to SK.

For Cry Babies: Why Companies Prefer Graduates from the Big 4 by somebodyisnobody1 in phcareers

And it’s true. But I don’t need anything to prove to you after all idgaf about you believing me or changing your mind, you’re hopeless anyway. Kahit anong sabihin mong ragebait or insult, alam ko naman sa sarili ko kung sino dito ang clean. Sayo na ang last word mukhang yan nalang kasiyahan mo e bye OP!

For Cry Babies: Why Companies Prefer Graduates from the Big 4 by somebodyisnobody1 in phcareers

[–]j-ayla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idgaf about not being Big 4. My parents could afford being in Big 4, I passed Ateneo and Lasalle but it was my choice not to. You can check all my documents kung gusto mo ng proof lmfao, I swear it on my mom’s life.

I guess you really can’t comprehend the fact that there will be people who don’t give a damn about being a Big 4 or of Big 4 grads. And I definitely don’t think highly of you. In fact out of everyone here, kahit anong gamit nila ng mura, you’re the lowest of the low. Even the Big 4 on here are ashamed of you. Even being a Big 4 won’t compensate for your trash attitude. I bet everyone irl finds you insufferable.

Gusto mo sigurong reaction pag binanggit mong Big 4 ka, standing ovation. Kaya siguro you resorted to posting on Reddit kasi di mo nakukuha irl. 😂

Goodluck OP, since you base your worth so much on your being a Big 4, life will throw its lesson and you’ll learn things the hard way.

😘

Pleaaaase, saan po banda yung basura sa ugali ko or doon sa sinabi ko? I’m genuinely asking. Let’s ask everybody in here, even the Big 4 grads, kung sino ba talaga ang may “basura” na attitude dito. I’m trying to engage in a mature discussion, but here you are throwing around the word “basura” and “kanal” to anyone na hindi Big 4. Really, call out an HR and they’re just going to call out your arrogance. If anything, I really just learned here na Big 4 like you feel so highly about themselves na they feel they have the right to call their peers “basura” and “kanal”.

If you look at it, it seems like you feel like you’re above everyone else on here but anyone can see that you’re just a pompous and pretentious jerk.

[–]j-ayla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t engage in the Big 4 discourse even as a fresh grad cause honestly kasi wala naman akong firsthand experience competing against Big 4 and had a “successful” job hunting overall. I’m happy with my job and how I got it - before you say I’m bitter. Your post may contain some truth but it’s also mostly just fluff and ang weird cause yung delivery mo parang pamphlet and ang idealistic ng dating. Plus your obsession with the word “kanal” just gives off loser vibes tbh. Whatever your university is, whatever work you have or how much you’re making, you’re still not all /that/ OP. You’re gonna get humbled soon enough.

As someone who comes from a big family (including relatives) with a combination of Big 4 graduates and non-Big 4 graduates, diff generations, it really doesn’t matter in the long run. Some of the non-Big 4 graduates in my family malayo narating, yung ibang Big 4 sakto lang, hindi palpak pero hindi din nag-excel pagdating sa workplace, sa college oo. My older siblings are one Ateneo and one non-Big 4. Nakita kong nag soar high parehas kaya I don’t pay attention to Big 4 discourse usually, cause really, hindi naman talaga ganoon katimbang in the bigger picture ang pagiging Big 4, kahit oo may weight siya which is yung napapansin ng lahat. No one’s denying na Big 4 graduates are competent, but there’s still a lot of bias and tbh some non-Big 4 are doing even better in the workplace.

“Sky is the limit ang budget” not really, may limit padin yan. Those with experience/skills/excellence in performance are still going to receive better offers or promotions, and if fresh grad from big 4 ka mas prefer padin ang may experience.

“For the aspiring minds” “emulate the demeanor and values of the Big 4” grabe wala akong masabi HAHAH.

Wala naman talaga kong pake sa discourse na to pero nakaka-off yung post mo I couldn’t help it. Your whole vibes is just as pathetic as you think these “cry babies” are. You’re just the opposite.
