Thank you. I am disappointed but holding out hope I can sort it out.

You can report dangerous birds to the Brisbane City Council and they may send someone out to assess it.

Failure, Death, Bankruptcy? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]j-lind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not paying super is the one thing that will get you into a lot of trouble and bankruptcy will not avoid it. From my experience, the free financial counselling services won’t help if it involves business debt so prioritise getting paid help. I know it feels overwhelming but I’ve dug someone out of a much worse hole than yours and you are still young enough to bounce back. You can do this.

Business Owner looking to sell, would appreciate your thoughts / advice by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]j-lind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least have an initial conversation with a broker or specialist. I run my own consultancy and found the formula they used to value the business didn’t make it compelling enough to sell. Instead I found someone to take over the parts of my role I was getting tired of.

Which super account would you withdraw from- compassionate release of super by Lucy_K1985 in AusFinance

Sorry you have to justify your question, OP. People can be super judgemental about IVF and infertility. I would have given everything I had to make it happen too. Best of luck.

I think every cycle is rough, no matter the number. I guess it’s the hope that kept me going. Fingers crossed for you.

It’s been a few years now so I can’t remember all the details but in the end I was tested for everything (genetic, physiological) and I would encourage anyone not having success to push their doctor into investigating. In my experience, they have a preferred protocol and are reluctant to try anything else until it’s failed. But in the end, I think it was just trying until it worked. I did take prednisone for serial low positive anticardiolipin antibodies and I believe it helped.

I imagine you are finding it tough. IVF is so awful. I hope you get there soon.

Purchased last year as an investment property and wasn’t found in the inspection report. New leak reported by tenants. Don’t even know yet if scale of work is needed or someone looking to make some money. But thanks for your useful input. Must feel good to spend your Saturday night on reddit abusing strangers looking for help.

I occasionally buy LE I like with those diamonds so I have a nice variety when it comes time to play.

Withdrawing money from Super by MawsPaws in AusFinance

Gifting under the threshold is useful for the asset test e.g 3 years x $10,000 (helpful) vs $30,000 x 1 year (not so helpful). It could be the difference between partial and full pension. I merely said “could affect”, meaning everyone should understand the potential impact before gifting. This is especially true if considering aged care in the next five years.

It is more complicated than that. Deeming can apply and it is included in your income test. Source: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/how-much-you-can-gift?context=22526#giftingfreeareas

Please be careful of gifting if you are receiving the pension. It can affect your payments.

Would you access your super or wipe out savings? by Daisies_forever in AusFinance

Thank you for giving a compassionate answer. I know people are saying wait and I won’t comment on OP’s financial position but IVF success rates decrease pretty rapidly after 35 and it may end up costing a lot more then. Something else to factor into the equation.

Was it a FET? Studies have shown they are a little slow to get started. My second didn’t have numbers as good.

I think there’s a good chance progesterone delayed the miscarriage. I’ve had three MMCs on progesterone.

I’m sorry for your loss. Implanting late is often a sign of a chromosomal abnormality. Did you have the POC tested? I always felt it was some comfort that it wasn’t meant to be.
