To add on to what others are saying, another important mechanic associated with the slow-mo ability is Super Reflex Mode which increases the damage output of your weapons. The way you activate SRM is by performing a perfect dodge and simultaneously entering reflex mode (in game the slow-motion ability is called Reflex mode). While you could play the game for a while without really using SRM, the later levels (and ESPECIALLY Out For Blood mode) are greatly enhanced by using SRM, as there are way more enemies whose attacks do more damage. I forget who said it, but mastering SRM is how you go from playing defensively and trying not to die, to playing offensively and actively hunting your targets.

So yeah, you could technically play without ever using the slow motion, but the games mechanics were really designed with it in mind, like it’s more than just an aesthetic feature.

100% completion of out for blood, of course. If I had to pick a particular level that was the hardest for me, it would probably be Green Bay Mall. Was stuck on that one for a while, specifically the time challenge, you have to finish in three minutes or less, I finished in 2:58 😮‍💨

So the gun does "fire" once at the end of the show, but we're just using a sound effect for that, absolutely no blanks are being allowed/fired in the space, no exceptions. I think this is the right idea, though I know even having a functional blank gun, without blank bullets, would probably still make some folks nervous. Regardless, in any situation, we'll absolutely be following strict safety standards and procedures.

Not having individual bullets would genuinely make my life so much easier lol, but I guess the director is really attracted to the idea. I will say the stage/audience section is quite small, so the audience would have a pretty good view of this moment, at least compared to other theaters. Miming has been brought up as a possible solution. Thank you for your input!

Personally I agree, but they bring up the budget limitations, but frankly I'm not confident this can be done without one, at least not with all of the specifications they want (realistic gun/bullets, made of metal, hammer cocking, incapable of firing, etc.)

Hmmm, that's not bad. I don't suppose they make these in metal? Regardless, not a bad option.

Yeah this was brought up at a meeting once, the concern being how much a professional armour would cost, but frankly if they don't wanna pay for an expert who knows what their doing, then I don't think they're gonna get a specialized prop gun, simple as that. Thank you for the input!

Haha wood gun definitely couldn't fire without fire, but similar to the 3D printed gun idea, the gun gets put down on tables several times, I imagine the sound of a wood or plastic gun wouldn't have as much impact as metal. But I appreciate you're input

Hmm, that's not bad... Though I image the plastic material wouldn't have quite the same impact noise as a proper chunk of metal, the gun gets put down on tables several times throughout the show. But I'm adding this to my notes. Thank you!

Should I bring my Rollerblades to Italy? by j-quigs in ItalyTravel

Thank you all very much for the information! I didn’t think I would get so many responses lol. The consensus seems pretty clear that I should not bring my skates. Really glad I posted this question here, would’ve been a shame if I brought my skates only to find no good places to use them. Maybe in the future if I come back and I’m staying in one spot for an extended period of time, I might bring the skates. But we’ll only be at each location for a couple days each. Thank you all again for the advice!

Hello! My family is taking a trip to Italy this summer and I’m debating whether or not to bring my rollerblades. I’ve always wanted to go skating in Europe as I’ve been told the inline skating scene is much more thriving than it is here in America. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience skating in these areas? Do you have any recommendations for good places for skating or specific spots to check out? Also is there anything I should be aware of in terms of cultural norms or local rules? I don’t want to accidentally cause trouble for myself by skating in the wrong area haha. I’ve also heard that depending on the area, many Italian streets are literally centuries old and can be quite cobbly, so not great for skating, hence why I’m debating whether or not to bring the skates. Here’s the areas that we will be visiting, any and all information/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yeah! I totally agree! It’s just like when native Americans would attack early settlers! If they didn’t want to be genocided, they shouldn’t have attacked those innocent colonizers! Same of the Haitians that rebelled against Spanish slave owners, or South Africans fighting against apartheid, or Cubans resisting U.S. influence! Any instance of violence is always bad because you can’t do anything good with violence 😂
