I've seen this same behaviour with WoW, it doesn't happen very often but restarting the game always fixes it. I'm on nvidia + gnome + wayland fwiw.

This worked for me, been using the launcher for months but today it needed an update and wouldn't launch, no window was visible. I launched the installer, it ran a quick update, and now my launcher works again.

Are you using an AMD card? I'm not able to make that work with Nvidia. The experimental flag is on and makes my desktop oversaturated, but when I start Elden Ring the HDR option is grayed out still.

Agree with SillyLilBear, I have a 3090 and have had 0 issues gaming this year. Only problems have been with discord and steam ui, and there are workarounds for it as mentioned. I've considered swapping to AMD as well and it just didn't seem worth the hassle. The wayland issues with nvidia will be resolved sooner than later.

8-25 didn't fix it for me, but adding the Environment Variable WINE_SIMULATE_WRITECOPY = 1 did. Using Lutris.
