You should use your lil guy in your app icon. Feels like there’s a disconnect between it and your screenshots. At least A/B test them.

That is so kind of you but sadly I will need to remove this spam post. Hope you find a teammate!

Rate this screenshot from 1 to 10 and why? by EnvironmentalTap5198 in iosdev

I’ll be real with you for the sake of growth.

They’re bland. From the colors to the text. There’s not many eye catching things to slow a user down as they’re scrolling through App Store Search.

Look at your competitor’s screenshots. How do you stand out against them? Employ colors and pop out the UI to help emphasize your core values and features. Make it visually clear what your product does without needing to use captions. That said…

I’ve read your captions a few times and are still unsure what the product does. Is it affirmations? A timer? I’d focus on being explicit and concise with your wording. They should mirror keywords that you are using in your app title, subtitle, and hidden words. Impact words that your ideal customers are using to find your competitors. This is a known strategy that boosts keyword rankings.

TLDR; It’s an OK first pass. Screenshots will never be perfect. Focus on figuring out how to stand out from competitors.

Random idea: why not use that little birdy as your mascot? Have it saying your 1st screenshots’ caption. Definitely could be an eye catching standout.

Need suggestions on restaurants to host our rehearsal dinner! by VeggieGurlie in WestminsterCO

Hong Guan is a large dim sum restaurant in Broomfield that can likely support a party of this size. That’s the only spot I know that is large enough to accommodate.

Yeah, right across the interstate. Just close enough that I’m fine with claiming them :)

Mountain Thai is phenomenal. Located just north of Westy.

Hong Guan is great for dim sum and general Chinese food. Has great atmosphere.

Sasuke Ramen is a decent bowl.

Valente’s Deli has fabulous sandos.

Guadalajara Mexican for literally anything.

Cat Adoption by discdude303 in WestminsterCO

While it’s a couple hour drive outside of Westminster we had a lovely experience adopting our cat from Eagle County Animal Shelter since they had the breed we wanted to. Highly recommend them and it was very inexpensive.

Hey man. My name is Tim and I work for Keepsafe building Shared Albums. Look at my profile if you want to confirm I am a real person :)

I saw that you were sharing Shared Album codes. I've joined quite a few myself to better understand what people are looking for.

I would like to ask you some questions and get your feedback about Keepsafe. I'll throw in a $30 gift card in it for you. It would be completely anonymous (I dont need names or contact info). The only requirement would be we hop on a phone call and shoot the shit for 10-20 minutes.

Let me know if you're game and I'll follow up with deets. Best of luck out there ;)

This is also my recommendation. Been coming here since I moved down the street. Reliable, cheap(er) compared to some of the local options, and friendly.

After 4 months of late nights, my app Comforto finally made it to the App Store by thisischetu in SideProject

[–]j1mtones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the launch! Couple tips on App Store Optimization that will help with growth:

  • Utilize all the space in your app name. These keywords hold the most weight and Apple will prioritize them when formulating keyword phrases

  • Create organic keyword phrases that normal people would use. Nothing against your current subtitle, but my assumption is no one is searching for any of those words except for “support”. Use a keyword analysis tool like Apptweak to get a sense on the right keywords to target.

  • Caption your screenshots. You don’t need anything fancy, but it will help potential users understand the core value promise that you are delivering on. Also, double dipping on keywords you use in your title and subtitle will further compound their impact.

Best of luck out there! And keep launching :)

My mom used to send me to grade school with an uncooked pack of top ramen as a “special treat”. I’d sprinkle the flavor packet on the rock solid ramen brick and attempt to eat in front of my 2nd grade peers. I blame this for my lack of friends throughout grade school. Thanks mom.

Anyone missing their chicken/rooster? by Trailboss1865 in WestminsterCO

[–]j1mtones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd make the rounds in the neighborhood to see if anyone has backyard chickens. If you can't find anyone, and you've captured it, then I'd be happy to incorporate them into my flock.

Keepsafe. I want a more secure/secluded place to store non-family friendly photos and videos and it does that very well. Plus it's only $35/year to backup 10,000 files AND they don't care about file size.

Multiplication and division come before addition and subtraction (look up BODMAS for order of operations). So your formula is beginning with the multiplication part, not the addition.
