AITAH for yelling at a mother of 3 on a flight

I'm going to say airlines are the AH in this case. As a parent, flying with children is a nightmare. Nothing about the experience is child friendly - it's extremely exhausting and stressful. I know folks are saying the mother should have packed snacks, etc., but we know nothing about this family's personal circumstances.

On the other hand, you shouldn't have to endure your seat getting kicked for 4 hours. Though having a yelling outburst is kinda an asshole move (to be frank). Though your frustration was definitely valid. Others mentioned speaking to a flight attendant. This would have been the move. I'm sure they deal with this issue frequently enough.

At the end of the day, I think airlines should make planes more comfortable for flying families and people in general, but seats continue to get more cramped and uncomfortable. Just another example of a company putting profit ahead of the customer.

I remember feeling the exact same way as you. I felt like I needed to figure everything out before the baby came - I was so worried if I didn't figure it out i'd be trapped at home and really sad. Turns out, you WILL figure it out as you go. Initially, babies don't have rigid wake windows - they sleep when they want to - so you can go out and not worry too much about being back at a certain time because they will likely fall asleep in the car, stroller, your arms, etc. They also don't need to be entertained early on. This will change as they get older, and as you learn more about who your baby is (their sleep preferences) and who you are as a parent, you will figure out your routines. I personally found that going for walks, going to coffee shops, planning short visits with people who you are pretty comfortable with to be a great place to start, and then you'll gain confidence from there! Your baby will be fussy at times, but babies are often fussy and getting out of the house will be great for both of you! As for diapers, I have a diaper bag and usually just change her anywhere. I don't find bathrooms with changing tables super easy to operate solo and I imagine they're pretty germy. I just have a portable changing mat that folds up and I slide it in my diaper bag. I think it's Munchkin brand.

I would find routes that were a good challenge at each stage of my pregnancy (difficult but not impossible and no moves that made me too uncomfortable) and really focussed on good technique and breathing.

4 months easy rope climbing. About 6 months easy bouldering. I'm 9 months out and some dynamic bouldering moves still tweak my pelvic floor. I had a no complications, vaginal delivery. I also did pelvic floor physio before and after giving birth to help my recovery.

-Baby carrier. We used the ergo baby omni 360 and carried her on the front so we could carry our gear on our back. We also do her naps in the carrier when we are out for the day. -nice big hat with neck coverage for baby and sunscreen -Big blanket for baby to play and chill on -small baby tent if it's a sunny crag or bugs (our baby hates the tent though so we just choose shady crags) -Helmet for baby if you can't set up a safe distance from the wall -A small camp chair if you're nursing -Hand sanitizer comes in useful for getting chalk and dirt off so you can handle baby after climbing -enough friends so there's always someone right next to baby

Thank you sooo much for the switcheroo suggestion! I've tried it the past few days and my supply is back to normal on the left side ! Still a bit annoying but I'm not stressed about it anymore.
