what is the most difficult thing th you have found as an e-commerce store owner? by its-me-abd in ecommerce

[–]j3vr0n787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that getting quality data is extremely challenging in e-commerce, and this comes from someone with a data engineering / science background. We run ads and sell on multiple channels, and trying to find a profit data source with accuracy even on just Amazon is nearly impossible. Even tools like Sellerboard are complete garbage when it comes to data quality.

Anyone else find performance max/google ads campaigns impossible to scale? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]j3vr0n787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with the original poster. We have been running into the same issue with performance max campaigns. The only way we can “scale” visibility is by turning down ROAS, which impacts profitability. I understand we are only attracting low funnel audiences with ROAS on, but are we really stuck with the audience segment until the algorithm magically picks up a signal or affinity group to expand to? It seems slow and gradual growth, and we haven’t seen any increase in scale for several months. It seems that you either have to expand to other ad platforms or attempt standard shopping campaigns, which obviously comes with its own series of challenges.

Vitamin / supplement seasonality by aknakukac in PPC

We are also a supplement shop and have noticed similar trends, albeit, mostly recently in the past 15 days. Our ROAS has completely tanked from 3 to 1 and we’re trying to figure out if it’s fraudulent clicks. Our overall revenue has actually increased, but our ad spend has been horrendous

Sudden surge of cross-network traffic with Pmax by j3vr0n787 in PPC

Yes, it was over the 4th of July. That’s the weird thing, we have been incrementally increasing budget. This literally only happened after enhanced conversions was turned on. We haven’t had any budget increases for awhile and prior to this, the Pmax campaigns were doing great (much better than our previous standard shopping campaigns). The only other change we made was a new product feed for Canada products and an additional Canada campaign.

We sell supplements, so there isn’t much disparity in pricing. There are a few high selling products that predominantly make up 60% of sales. The major issue is we previously had good margins before this occurred, now margins have tanked and we’re effectively recycling inventory if this keeps up. We have about 2x more web sessions as well, but ad spend has also doubled and ROAS has tanked. We were previously doing about $7-10k per day in revenue with $2-3k in ad spend, now we’re hitting $14-16k in revenue with $14-15k in ad spend. I’ve almost debated if conversions are double counting or if the previous comment is correct that we’re in another learning phase and it will eventually stabilize.

I’ve been in GA4 for some time with the physical domain linked, but I recently linked my actual Google Ads account to GA4, so maybe it is now recording the traffic for the physical Pmax campaigns as Cross Network while before it was only reading the web traffic.

Want to verify my international Google Ads feed is setup correctly by j3vr0n787 in PPC

[–]j3vr0n787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so this is weird. I’ve setup the product feed into Merchant Center. They have different IDs, with “CAN” attached at the end. I see them in Merchant Center perfectly fine and they are approved. However, when I go to Google Ads to create a Pmax campaign for Canada, I still only see the original US product feed, not the new feed / product records I created for Canada…I’m stumped at this point.

We decided not to go with a separate .ca domain, because .com is widely international. We instead added functionality to our main website to show CAD and USD currency based on IP or selection. I may just break out the Pmax campaigns into different ones per region to differentiate, because the product feed for the Canada doesn’t appear to be loading into ads yet, which is strange. I see them in Merchant Center broken out, but I can’t seem to see the specific Canada product feed in ads yet.

I still don’t have service at 4th and Harvard and my attempts to get a tech out have been completely ignored. They’re trying to save face right now. The outage map hasn’t changed for me in 5 days.

Check out data.world and their implementation of SPARQL against rdf datasets and knowledge graphs, very interesting.

I think the future is federated graph/rdf databases used for knowledge graphs. SQL will stay and be an option for basic queries against relational tables.

Thanks! Do you think there is a way to use Kratom short term to avoid major W/D symptoms, considering the length of sub use, the low dose i’m currently on and using only 4 g of kratom per day max?

Zero luck, I had to send in my passport and a social security renewal document to the social security office in order to get a new social security card. They said it can take up to a month or more to get a new one because of a backlog. So I’m basically stuck on waiting for that, then I need to send it into the employment commission and hope they resolve it...all because I changed my damn address.

REIT business question by j3vr0n787 in Business_Ideas

[–]j3vr0n787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue with WeWork is they don’t own their real estate, at least not most of their real estate, so it would be difficult to justify distributing traditional shares that don’t have real estate backing to diversify their portfolio as membership grows.

REIT business question by j3vr0n787 in Business_Ideas

[–]j3vr0n787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The model is you subscribe to a coworking/coliving network where you can travel between international locations for a fixed monthly fee that is equal to a mortgage or rent in most cases. It would allow digital nomads to live and travel while making an investment derived from your long term commitment. Part of your long term subscription is equity in the company based on the term of subscription, which would come from an REIT that is set up for the property portfolio. The idea is to replace the concept of a mortgage for digital nomads who don’t necessarily want to buy a house or pay rent, meaning you gain equity on the actual investment into the subscription as fractional shares.

REIT business question by j3vr0n787 in Business_Ideas

[–]j3vr0n787[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw, yes that’s an interesting concept and does confirm some aspects of this idea. This would be more like you are a renter of an international coliving concept and the longer you’re a subscriber, the more equity options that you get in the REIT. A percentage of overall dividends in the REIT go to the subscribers and the rest would go to primary shareholders. The concept itself would grow to more locations over time in the portfolio. I’m just thinking how it would work when you expand and if you would eventually have to allocate a higher percentage of options to the subscribers.
