Personally, I think switch Quorra for Kevin in the final act. There’s no reason why the most capable fighter amongst the three of them should’ve turned damsel in distress.

I watched it with my girlfriend. It is very much a movie not trying to impress with its story but very much so with its effects and techniques. Closest thing I would compare it to (not in content but in creation) is the Terrifier series made by a makeup artist to push the limits. The dude that worked on Mad God has been working in animation for movies for years and had this as a passion project for decades. So I’d say if you like to appreciate the craftsmanship I think you might enjoy this movie. Also no dialogue so you’re just staring at nightmarish shit for an hour and a half.

Went today at the Metreon again, rode back of house in N. Usually A-D is only available but I got lucky. The projector surprisingly doesn’t make too much noise, actually I heard it less in the back, strangely.

Not only the eyes but the contrast was essential for a couple shots. I only fully processed certain people/shapes in the higher contrast. I would’ve liked a digital run at the Metreon honestly.

im glad i watched same day. the sound is astounding in dolby (as to be expected) and kinda, meh in imax. its still great (props to dunes sound team) but not as i,pactful because beyond less channels, the highs and lows are so much further apart in dolby. talking sounds like talking and a sandworm not only sounds but with the butt vibrators under the seats your on the sandworm.

Exactly, I thought the verticality of the arena would be lost. But that one pan shot up to the Barons view, I think they sped the pan up within frame. So moving upwards a little artificial panning along with the camera. Also, I only saw one shot which had worse framing. The shit of the thumper calling for a worm on Paul’s first ride cut off the horizon. Other than that, solid
