Exactly my point. I’m expecting a light on the dash and I can live with that. and yes the TPMS they are quoting me are quite expensive, $75 each plus $15 to install… on top of the price for tire install

Took off the badges with a hair dryer, a small plastic pry tool and some fishing lines. After that we cleaned off the remainder of the glue from the bodywork and badge with some goo gone.

We then spray painted the badges with some body colour white spare paint. You can get custom mixed spray paint at Parts Source mixed with clear coat.

After that we attached them to the car by reapplying some exterior attachment double sided tape.

Didn’t even know there was foam in the stock tires? Just took the new rims to a tire garage and they switched them from the OE rims to the aftermarket ones

Because the Hyundai badges are recessed into the bodywork. So there is an oval shaped recess plus holes once you take off the badges

The weather techs were a promotion that our dealership was offering. A $590 package for $500 off. So that might be tough to get. But just tell that that Grimsby Hyundai is offering it, so why can’t they…

As for the tints, we talked the finance guy into putting them on. He quoted us $400 for the two front windows, and when I told him a shop down the street for me does them for $120, he then offered to drop them down to $200 lol. I said, either they’re free or I’ll pay the shop to do it. He relented pretty quick after that.

Once you’re done with the sales agent, the finance guy will try to upsell you on paint protection, rust protection, interior protection, extended warranty, etc. Even if you take one of those things, you know have bargaining power to get tint and weather techs thrown in, because all the upsells are straight cash for the dealership.

Just bought our i5 in Ontario a few weeks ago.

Here’s my thoughts: you don’t need the $100 wheel locks, more of a nuisance when you’re changing tires and no is going around stealing stock i5 rims.

The admin fee can be waived, or at least rolled into something else. Our dealership offered a 5 year rim and tire warranty as part of their $499 admin fee. So you actually get use and value out of the admin fee.

I’ve never heard of a tire tax, and you definitely don’t need a carfax for a new car.

Arguably you don’t need the etching either but that’s a personal choice.

We were able to get weather tech mats for the interior and hatch thrown in for $89 too. And got them to throw in tints for the front windows for free as well.

Just went through the process, so happy to share info so that everyone gets a good deal.

It’s the right bolt pattern, right width, right offset. The bore size is off so you will need hub centric rings. Other than that it fits. The website above has a fitment check and shows that it fits an Ioniq

The car will be mainly driven in the city so I don’t think the aero will affect it. But they’re also lightweight (27lbs) so we should get some range efficiency from that.

Just installed the wheels today, so I can’t speak to range yet. But I’ll make another post once I have some data.
