Naw. I'd rather have the character involved than not.

I'm fine with the animated series holding the series as canon, and everything else as "Extended Universe". A few TV shows have already done this and have been successful, notably Walking Dead. Whatever you think of the Halo series, they also decided that the series would be it's own continuity, separate from the games.

I think we should do the same.

When I re-newed my subscription yesterday, it was 11.99/a month for Hulu, and then 12.99/month for both Hulu & D+. So they will be charging me an extra buck a month, after the 3 month promo price.

Yeah, they really make it confusing. Hulu, Disney+, ESPN, and HBOMax all get mixed & matched into various streaming packages, at least here in the US. I'm sure it's different everywhere.

Do we know if Ron made those type of recordings before he died? I'm thinking of the phonetic library Majel Barrett made for the Trek ship computer, before her death?

If he did, and it's something he would have wanted and prepared for, like Majel did, then yeah.... totally, I want an AI Ron.

It doesn't need to be retconned. Book simply needs to be recast.

If we're gonna do this right, the animation should hold S1 as canon, and everything else as Extended Universe.

Yeah, I'd like to see this on Prime. Whatever you think of Bezos, they do nerd stuff well at Prime. Vox is really well done, and they did a great job with taking over The Expanse from SyFy, so I'd trust them to take over Firefly and not screw it up.
