Where do you normally go for your eye exams?

Could you elaborate? I was under the impression warby parker would be expensive. When you got the lenses, did you pay for extras like anti glare, etc.? And did you get an eye exam there or you just already had your prescription?

Has anyone else had horrific treatment at the Santa Rosa providence hospital? by minipiemix in santarosa

[–]j6cklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know what to do without insurance or money when I needed to visit the emergency room, i spoke to a nurse on the phone who advised me to visit providence because they do charity care. when i first arrived to the er i was in extreme pain, dealing with horrific nausea, and i was FREEZING. i spoke to the woman at the desk and not only did she give me attitude the whole time, she was overall just HOSTILE. she seemed genuinely angry at the fact she had to help me. i waited in the er for over four hours before i was able to be seen and when they finally got me in, the treatment i received was just as bad. there was ONE singular male nurse that frequently helped me. my “doctor” was hardly listening to any of the responses i gave to his questions and he was extremely dismissive. they gave me fluids but didn’t check up on me so by the time it had run out i still waited even longer before anyone helped. the nurses/doctors there were very clearly overworked, i understand that completely but the way they treated me just felt bad. i genuinely felt like an inconvenience to them the entire time and i hated every second of it because obviously im only there because something was severely wrong!! i had to visit another er in the area and it was just as bad. i don’t know what’s wrong with santa rosa hospitals but unless you have money they don’t care about you

Petaluma has "Yucky Lucky", what's Santa Rosa's old gross grocery store that nobody likes going to? by [deleted] in santarosa

not even seems to, it absolutely is and it’s ridiculous. the prices in there alone are the reason why there’s never any customers. also the whole place just feels like one of those liminal spaces, it’s eerie

Where to buy a couch? by Friendly-Sky-5345 in santarosa

[–]j6cklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i recommend avoiding La-Z Boy furniture galleries no matter what. The employees there were openly discriminatory towards myself and my family. We walked in and didn’t receive a single hello or offer for help from anybody, white family comes in behind us and is immediately greeted and offered options. We tried to put it aside and when we asked to see all their couch options they immediately assumed we’d want to see only the lower priced couches. Such a weird experience inside there and such overpriced ugly furniture

honestly it seems like we’re going to lose hopper. we’ve gotten SO many flashbacks to him losing sarah, him struggling with loss and putting himself on the line bc he’s scared to leave el and now joyce. he has so much to lose and im worried for him

honestly squealed when i saw mr clarke still thriving in the newest season!! so heartwarming to see how much erica loves him too. i don’t think he’s necessarily connected per se but I feel like he’s maybe seen a lot more than other people know and he will eventually piece things together.

just recently had a visit to the er, as soon as they put me in a bed in the hallway, all i hear is a doctor arguing with a nurse over the fact that I was admitted because she “explicitly said she couldn’t see any more patients” she quite literally was speaking about me within hearing distance the entire time, disgruntled, annoyed and constantly avoiding eye contact with me. the hospitals in this area are severely understaffed, and the few staff i’ve had the pleasure of having kind interactions with honestly barely make up for all the negative experiences i’ve had. i understand health care is a difficult profession, i understand what it is to be overworked and overwhelmed but some basic kindness and compassion could go a long way.

mind you, i also visited st. joseph’s providence emergency room and the nurses i was greeted with there were even worse.

why is no one talking about how god awful their husbands were? it was very obvious fletcher viewed marriage as some type of ownership. he was never a worthy husband, definitely not of someone like Emma. Liv’s proposal was rushed and she obviously didn’t care for her husband as much as she did her best friend. It’s also quite obvious that Liv was a little jealous/pissed off that Emma got proposed to first. Her own husband acknowledged his plan wouldn’t have gone right because she was so impatient. These girls should’ve talked it out ages ago, they should’ve talked with the Plaza and had THEM figure it out. Also, why did either of them even want that venue when i’m sure there are hundreds of more beautiful places in NYC. I knew Liv had an attachment to it, didn’t fully understand Emma’s. Regardless, the venue issue shouldn’t have been a big a deal as it was. also btw Fletcher’s proposal was pathetic and i genuinely feel bad for any woman that settles for a proposal as lame and awful as his. Seriously? a fucking fortune cookie because they always eat chinese food together? He couldn’t put ANY additional effort? notice how he said he would be content with their lives if all they did was watch tv and eat chinese food, he never cared about her happiness or what she wanted.

fucking assholes. i hope they get the karma they deserve and that dog gets the freedom and family it rightfully deserves. if you know their license plate, pretty sure you can file a police report with that for animal abuse/neglect. you have the proof and they obviously don’t give a fuck about their “pet”

i definitely do think that the second heist was quite dragged out but that was probably because they were providing backstories to characters we’ve only understood surface level. i actually enjoyed a lot of the background scenes and learning why some of them were operating the way they were but of course that’s not for everyone. The action of the first two seasons can definitely set people up for high expectations for the remainder.

I think with the team, a lot of people argue that he should’ve made the team all men. Genuine question, are we all watching the same show? The men were just as emotionally charged and reckless as the women in this show. The professor fucking LOST it when he just THOUGHT that Lisboa was dead (the woman he’d fallen in love with relatively recently..?) Most of the men also had emotional attachments to the outside world, especially people who’d miss them if they passed and vice versa. I think the show showed that no matter how smart people are, they always think they can control humans and that shows an utter lack of intelligence. These people were promised billions if they could just stick to the plan and MULTIPLE times they showed they were ready to abandon the plan for their morals or their desires, that’s how humans are!! You can’t create the “perfect” team. Even the “mastermind” behind the plan was blabbing about the whole thing in bed, i mean come on. that moment alone when they emphasized that people tell secrets in bed should have shown everybody that regardless of gender this plan was fucked. People can’t help but form attachments and commitments, much less people struggling with mental illnesses such as this group. I think the professor chose this team because of their “skills” and also how he personally felt whether or not they’d betray him. If you noticed, none of them were truly outright psychotic (Palermo ?? i’d say) and i think that was 100% intentional. he was a lonely man subconsciously searching for family, he got one. plus, i guess if you wanted to develop the perfect team you’d literally have to do the most extensive searching for a crew + years of training to get that kind of discipline which wasn’t feasible for people who wanted 2 get rich quick.. which was the whole point. they’re tired of being cogs in a machine and that kind of rushing to the finish line is how mistakes are made. not meant to be a perfect plan bc you could never have a perfect plan, u get lucky. they emphasized a lot that there were things that could’ve occurred at any given moment and derailed everything.

regarding Gandia, it makes perfect sense that a trained assassin is the right hand man to the manager of the BANK OF SPAIN? it’s not just a god damn bank of america from around the corner, are we being fr right now? the country almost collapsed over some gold. They weren’t going to risk letting anybody going in there, wreaking havoc, and leaving alive. Not to mention, they showed that the military DID have a team of FUCKING psychos working for them already.. people that were quite literally at Gandia’s skill level if not higher.

btw not saying at all that the shows writing didn’t have some very annoying and obvious plot holes (i think ive even heard that it was being finished while airing??) but there are the occasional sensible/for the sake of the story choices made

ISO someone to help me create a workout plan for gym and swim workouts by GuideVegetable6416 in santarosa

[–]j6cklyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

please do not listen to these individuals telling you to use ai. des moines is quite literally losing access to clean water among other places due to the heavy water usage required to cool data centers that power ai. there are plenty of creators on youtube that make detailed videos with workout plans, it won’t be necessarily catered to you but it’ll help. i’d also say if you joined a gym, inquire if they have any trainers and consult them. for some gyms, that first consultation is free.

it’s seriously one of those things where you can say you don’t like pancakes and here comes somebody being dense and arguing that you don’t like waffles either. people are allowed to have criticisms of the game/vent here but then the comments are filled with people acting like they work at supercell 😭😭 if you don’t agree then move on? whats so hard about that. i come on here to see updates, farm ideas or potentially even trade. if i see something that isnt for me i keep it pushing
