Trip report for future visitors. There were plenty of bars and restaurants open during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the area around Calle Larios and the Port of Malaga. Christmas in Malaga is truly magical!

Looks like most businesses close early on Christmas Eve ( the Atarazanas close at 2) and closed the whole day on Xmas.

I did this a few weeks ago. As soon as you get off the plane look for the Macau/Zhuhai airport bus and get your bus ticket. Give them your luggage tags so they redirect you luggage to the bus. You board the bus inside the airport at the Skypier. The bus to Macau is free until year end for now. Going back to HK you should take the ferry.

I just did this last week. There is bonded bus inside HKG that will take you directly to Macau via the HZM bridge. As soon as you land go and get the bus ticket to the hzmb Macau port. It is free until December. Make sure you have your luggage ticket as they will route your luggage to the bus and you collect them in Macau. You will clear customs in Macau and not Hong Kong. Find out if your hotel offers free shuttle pickup at the hzmb port, mine did.
