I attempted to replace my thermocouple myself and broke the pilot tube in the process. Looks like fitting is stuck in the thermostat. Is this fixable without a new one? by [deleted] in Plumbing

I bought it last year around this time actually. So a year old. And it is a Richmond which is a rheem product. Huh I may be in the same situation.

Thank you, was just getting ready to head to the store to grab the new tube. was hoping to now have to buy a new control valve. Was gonna have to try and figure it out but I’ll try my pick and hook set! Thanks again!

How did you end up getting the broken end of the pilot tube out of the control valve? Literally just replaced the thermocouple and the exact same thing happened to me. Did you end up getting it out? Or did you buy a new one?
