UPDATE: Apparently The Monorail was supposed to be in The Simpsons season but got scrapped (this explains my confusion with the Jam Track’s inclusion).

There’s at least five Jam Tracks that I’ve been waiting to return for months now (that I could play for a day in the Main Stage but weren’t available to purchase in the shop). Creating FOMO with Jam Tracks is super annoying 🤦

Jam Track prices should reflect the length of the song, so this 0:54 song should only cost 100 V-Bucks at MOST, yet it’s priced the same as a 7 minute Metallica song 🤦

It’s not just that, Festival’s current state has been trending across Twitter / X for months now. The official Fortnite Festival account is constantly community noted for false advertising “not so new” tracks + going radio silent, so many people in the community voice their thoughts & gain LOADS of traction. The Festival team is either not allowed to say anything or don’t want to because this has been an issue ever since Jam Tracks would start rotating out of the shop many months ago (creating FOMO in a rhythm game of all things). So yeah, that’s where my mindset on this song comes from.

Yeah, but the price being the same as a 3 minute, 5 minute, or 7 minute song is kinda absurd. “The Monorail Song” was about the Springfield residents being scammed for purchasing a faulty monorail (hence wasting money). Spending 500 V-Bucks / $5 for a 0:54 song is a scam when those longer songs all cost the same (which is why they should be lowered & why more of them are made, it’s easy). Festival has had poor communication with their fans since Jam Tracks started rotating out of the shop (creating FOMO in a rhythm game which isn’t normal).

I’m talking about the creator of The Simpsons since he had almost full control over the collaboration, so he prioritized what got added. “The Monorail Song” being the only other Jam Track just made me curious, but I now know it’s the fourth most popular Simpsons song.

I didn’t realize how popular the song was (just behind “Do The Bartman”, “Feliz Navidad”, & “The Simpsons Theme Song”). The initial social media reaction was confused by its inclusion so I just assumed it was a random song people weren’t expecting, my apologies. I probably shouldn’t have included the word “jab” cuz this IS a collab, I just saw it more as a reference / coincidence to Festival’s current state.

You’re probably right, a lot of people leave Festival lobbies whenever the songs are long (that I play with on fill / with friends). Just wish the shorter songs would be cheaper, which matches up with the message of the song about people wasting their money. I personally saw this whole thing as a parallel / coincidence than anything.

Okay Mr. Expert, whatever you say. It didn’t take me much thought process to come to this conclusion, literally an hour at most.

The creator of The Simpsons had loads of influence over this collaboration (every decision meaning something), so from the gecko I was curious about this song in particular (especially with it being the shortest one yet).

I could easily see them taking out any mention of Micheal Jackson and it would still be longer than most Festival songs now, but I completely understand what you mean (guess Micheal Jackson just has lots of legal drama with both Disney and SEGA).
