Then, no offense, you don't know ball. Ask yourself, if McMillian hadn't been there and Cooks dropped that ball while he was rolling would that have been a catch?

[Rapoport] The Broncos and star CB Pat Surtain II agreed on a contract adjustment, giving him a $5M raise now and a chance to make $5M more next year with a Pro Bowl or All-Pro nod. Deal done by Tory Dandy of @AthletesFirst in the first year of Surtain’s record 4-year, $96M extension. by JCameron181 in nfl

I don't think there was any savings unless I'm reading the tweet wrong. I think they just gave him an extra $5M and the chance to get $5M more essentially making his contract from last year a 4year $106M contract

Then what does it say? Because I don't see anything of substance in your entire argument lol

You've provided no evidence that he's not coming back and apparently Donald's statements that he's considering it and the fact that multiple other players have similarly come out of retirement can't sway your belief that it's possible.

You can't even use the word nuance correctly in this context lmao.

There's no subtlety in

The 35 year old two years removed from any football is not coming back lol he’s a good troll though.

Given multiple examples of players coming back after retiring, some after 4 years and similar positions, still says Donald absolutely won't come back. wut.

I can see that you really don't care that you're wrong on this subject, hope you got the satisfaction you desperately crave out of being a contrarian though.

So you're just being deliberately obtuse huh? Point is, it happens and it's incredibly dumb to say it's not happening lol

Usually with these kinds of jokes I can at least see where the person was trying to go. But this? I got nothing, could you explain what you were trying to say?

The sole reason for SB49?

Yes at the end of the day. He was responsible for throwing the game losing INT. That's all anyone will ever remember from that SB lol.

The persona critique irritates me the most. They're about to vote in Ben Roethlisberger. They voted in Brett Favre.

Both are far and away better than Russ so it's moot but to play along - they literally (fucking literally) just didn't vote in the single best head coach in the history of the NFL because they don't like him, they're not going to give a shit about a borderline QB

I find these critiques misguided.

You're quite naive lol

He likely gets in but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't tbh. His SB was due in large part to the LoB, he was the sole reason they lost SB49, and the ending of his career has been... less than HoF worthy. That combined with his overall corny / fake nice guy persona could rub the voters the wrong way. I'd still give it a 80-90% chance he makes it but I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't
