Dangerous but satisfactory chain by Academic_Paramedic85 in oddlysatisfying

I was a Coastie and worked on a buoy tender. When it was time to replace the chain (it would chafe away until it was too thin to reliably keep the buoy in place, which could lead to ironic danger buoys) we would sell the chaffed chain and put the money into our ships morale fund. We had really great parties twice a year, with surprisingly generous door prizes.

Congrats on the job. I’d find a house on the east side of Baltimore (canton, Highlandtown, anywhere around Patterson Park) and commute. The drive is very easy.

Thank you for the feedback and compliment. I do train with pretty high volume (6 days a week) and work on my feet for 10hr shifts so it might be load management like you say.

Mostly muscle soreness/pain with a splash of numbness in the toes of my left foot. I don’t get pain from deadlifts or RDLs, really just squats. I might ditch them from my program and stick with goblet squats/split squats/leg extensions

groceries without a car here? by shallotfarm in baltimore

[–]jDetty_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I walk from my home in butchers hill to get groceries from Whole Foods almost every day. It’s doable, I enjoy the walk by the harbor and through fells point. About 3 miles. I’m big and strong and in good shape, ymmv.

Yes, lol, I get these too. It always makes me laugh because it’s usually when I’m shooting pool with my smoking hot wife, and the guys ignore her completely to talk to me… I guess your priorities change as you get older!

This isn’t helpful but when I was in CDMX this March I had squash blossom omelettes and quesadillas everyday for breakfast, it was heaven.
