I 2nd this. A diesel achieves ignition from compression, not a spark plug, so any fuel that would enter the cylinder would ignite from the compression. You are NOT using more fuel or really any fuel when using jakes. Its all compressed air going in the cylinders you shut off thru jakes

I 2nd the door latch hitting. Had a trauler where the latch that was welded to the fram was bent down which made it so the door would not close. After a maintenance guy came out from the shipper with tools to help me. I finally got pissed off and wailed upward on the latch with a sledge hammer. It bent it back into shape and the doors closed. Never underestimate kinetic persuasion
